  1. Sold! To a dealer who will probably just stick a £1,500 margin on it. No interest whatsoever on here though:-(
  2. Now on autotrader and reduced to £4,600 ono http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201405084025440/usedcars
  3. It's not a Skoda. I know. It's a Skoda Forum. But it might be just what someone is looking for. - Suzuki Swift 1.3Ddis, silver, 2009 59 plate - 2 owners including my lovely wife. - 54,700 miles. That's not even a quarter of the way to the moon. - FSH (book not stamped for some of this but receipts provided for work)- Still on winter tyres on the front but 2 standard tyres thrown in. Or at you if you try to reduce your price on the day. - Glow plugs replaced under warranty in 2012. Thanks Mr Suzuki for that free work. - Minor RTA damage to rear bumper, repaired. You can blame a silly Dutchman for this, he was too busy sniffing tulips rather than concentrating on the daft red lanes on the M66/M62 junction - usual stone chips that you would expect on a 5yr old car - I guess you could describe it as "nippy". And that doesn't mean it's supplied with a 5yr old child who will pinch your arm. - SWMBO drives too many miles now, otherwise we'd keep it - Keyless entry, A/C, metallic paint, front fogs, heated mirrors, just clayed and waxed, seats washed today - MOT valid til 01/10/2014, Tax til 30/09/2014 A snip at £4,800. Please PM me for further info. Pictures here ->http://s799.photobucket.com/user/irvtheswerv/slideshow/Suzuki%20Swift
  4. Yes it's a a direct quote from some legislation. Work for planning do you?
  5. The obligation in on the prosecution to show that they served the NIP within 14 days of the offence at the last known address, served on the offender or the registered keeper of the vehicle. Basically yours is a technicality that you'll have to attend court with a good solicitor to wriggle your way out of. It all depends on when you bought your car I guess. But a problem at the DVLA does not preclude a prosecution. It'll cost you way more to attempt to get out of it than the cost of the fine.
  6. The council technically require a complaint to be made before investigating. Unless they decide they want to shaft you, in which case they will forge a complaint in the name of a fictitious person who lives at a fictitious address and then come round and investigate. They'll then forge a planning application in your name, then refuse to produce it for over 2 years despite being fined for refusing to. After an investigation by the planning inspectorate, they'll then defer to the home secretary, who'll just say "Yes several people appear to have committed serious criminal offences, so what". Not speaking from experience then........... You do need planning permission for certain types of CCTV, but I wouldn't bother getting it because your local council most likely installs CCTV without permission. Going from memory there were less than 10 planning applications for CCTV in the whole of england in 2011. The fact that it doesn't have planning permission has no bearing on whether any evidence gathered would be admissable at court ie it's still admissable. Planning permission for CCTV cameras is now only required where: • the building upon which the camera would be installed, altered or replaced is a listed building or scheduled monument; • the camera including its housing is larger than 75 centimetres by 25 centimetres by 25 centimetres; • any part of the camera would be less than 250 centimetres above ground when installed, altered or replaced; • any part of the camera would, when installed, altered or replaced, project from the surface of the building by more than one metre. The measurement is taken between the face of the building andthe maximum projection of the installation and applies to new cameras as well as the alteration to, or replacement of, an existing camera • any equipment that forms part of a camera installation would be located more than one metre away from the camera itself; • any part of a camera would be less than ten metres from any part of another camera on the same building; • where there would be more than four cameras on the same side of the building; • where there would be more a total of more than sixteen cameras on the same building. • Listed building consent will be required where proposed equipment would affect the character of a building listed for special architectural or historic interest and may be required as well as planning permission.
  7. It's not really a shock is it? Let's build a customer base with a warm diesel manual, then destroy it by offering a petrol automatic. I've still only ever seen 2 MKII VRS on the road.
  8. Well this won't take long..... Courtesy car provided whilst mine was in for some work. Can't say too much about it because it broke down 100yds up the road. In that short time I had concluded that almost every piece of trim rattled. Not good from a 12 plate car is it?
  9. Honeypot Lane at the side of the A14. btw although it would be good to see, in the real world there's no such place as Upper Ramsbottom, it's been made up by people ringing in to traffic on Radio 2.
  10. Each to their own. I've seen totally unmolested Beamers go through at 108,000 miles with 36 services. And unless things have changed, traffic cops don't go on the motorway, that's the motorway units.
  11. I've got this. It keeps trainers in jobs, and you get to use some big words when small words would work better. I wouldn't pay for a course out of my own pocket.
  12. If memory serves you're based in Rochdale. Have a look at www.expolicecar.co.uk, based in sowerby. You'll get something there that will have been serviced every 6,000 miles. They've just sold a Mondeo ST TDCI DIESEL ESTATE on a 56 plate with mega miles for less than 3 grand. Or here http://www.expolicecarsdirect.co.uk/home.aspx For that kind of cash you'll be looking at something with a fair few miles on, if you ignore the patrol cars (fords and vauxhalls mainly) everything else should be well maintained and not trashed.
  13. My V70 estate is up for sale. It's an 05 plate with 78,000 miles. Taxed until May 2013, MOT til Nov 2013 and no finance. Recently serviced and all 4 wheels just refurbished. It's the 170bhp version and there is 1 previous owner. Please PM me if you are interested I have other pictures. £7,500 ono. 14. I'm a failure at succeeding to fail.

  15. For the first time I can remember, absolutely nothing. I didn't swear at anyone (a miracle in it's own right), no-one cut me up. **** did not happen and there was b*gger all to report. Maybe Betari's box works after all. Who'd'a'thowt'it.
