The obligation in on the prosecution to show that they served the NIP within 14 days of the offence at the last known address, served on the offender or the registered keeper of the vehicle. Basically yours is a technicality that you'll have to attend court with a good solicitor to wriggle your way out of. It all depends on when you bought your car I guess. But a problem at the DVLA does not preclude a prosecution. It'll cost you way more to attempt to get out of it than the cost of the fine.

The council technically require a complaint to be made before investigating. Unless they decide they want to shaft you, in which case they will forge a complaint in the name of a fictitious person who lives at a fictitious address and then come round and investigate. They'll then forge a planning application in your name, then refuse to produce it for over 2 years despite being fined for refusing to. After an investigation by the planning inspectorate, they'll then defer to the home secretary, who'll just say "Yes several people appear to have committed serious criminal offences, so what". Not speaking from experience then........... You do need planning permission for certain types of CCTV, but I wouldn't bother getting it because your local council most likely installs CCTV without permission. The measurement is taken between the face of the building andthe maximum projection of the installation and applies to new cameras as well as the alteration to, or replacement of, an existing camera • any equipment that forms part of a camera installation would be located more than one metre away from the camera itself; • any part of a camera would be less than ten metres from any part of another camera on the same building; • where there would be more than four cameras on the same side of the building; • where there would be more a total of more than sixteen cameras on the same building. • Listed building consent will be required where proposed equipment would affect the character of a building listed for special architectural or historic interest and may be required as well as planning permission.

They've just sold a Mondeo ST TDCI DIESEL ESTATE on a 56 plate with mega miles for less than 3 grand. I've got an Exeo saloon. imho the interior and overall build quality is miles better than the Octavia, there is no comparison and that's why I bought an Exeo. It is after an old A4 with a Seat badge. HOWEVER before I get some righteous stick for saying that on Brisky....the market does not seem to agree with me. Exeos are hard to sell. I tried to sell mine a while back and there was no interest at all. ALL, REPEAT ALL the Seat dealers I took it to refused to take it in part exchange on the basis that they didn't want another one clogging up the forecourt and they were brutally honest about this. I will be helpful and tell you I paid £11,700 for a 12 month old 143s saloon with 2,800 miles on it. I've had it remapped and it's a much better drive now. You will get a 12 plate 143 estate for less than 15 grand because people are not queueing up to buy them. I have seen a 130,000 mile 09 plate for £3,299. Don't expect much when you come to sell if you do a lot of miles. But if they are so cheap to start with, what's not to like?

Have you tried to bleep test (Multi stage fitness test) -> http://www.beeptestacademy.com/beep-test-download/ The level was 8.1 when I joined, but you had to keep going til you dropped, I managed 14.1 and recently did 12.1 (but felt like I was going to die afterwards). This is excellent for improving fitness levels.

Yes head gasket is a problem if not fitted correctly. Inlet manifold gasket also has tendency to split and leak, there is a new replacement part which is made of thicker plastic that solves the problem. I think the K series should all be 105bhp? If not you can fit a larger throttle body to increase from 85 to 105bhp.

I know I shouldn't but I would - MG ZR in BRG, 1.8 vvc 160bhp. 0-60 in 7.4 and easily tunable (I'm told) to 180-190 bhp. Sad isn't it but one could be had for £600-800.

The diesels are 120, 143 and 170bhp. I've got a 143 S which I've remapped to 181bhp and 289lb/ft. The 170 has bigger brakes and a different suspension set up I think. tbh I can't believe more people aren't buying them, they are just so cheap and expect a chunk off the screen price. 9 grand will put you in a 10 plate 2.0tdi 143 estate. I paid less than 50% of list price at 12 months old with 2,800 miles on it.

And btw I'm an old fart now so can't have hot hatch. But the Megane is a good choice, like **** off a red hot shovel.

I've got a diesel Exeo, but am going looking at a 2.0Tsi sport. 200bhp 0-60 in 7.3 and easily remapped to to 230bhp. Should get a 10 plate for less than 10 grand.
