  1. Help. Does anyone know the part number for the inner CV cap? My driveshaft is 1K0 407 271 LB 1LBJ. The OD of the driveshaft is approx. 100mm. For some reason nobody sells them in this size, they are all larger.
  2. Probably a bit late for the OP, but this might help someone else. Our Yeti had a similar noise and when I replaced the driveshaft recently the bolts connecting the driveshaft to the driveshaft flange were all bent. It would only make the noise under heavy load (acceleration) or accelerating when turning. Driveshaft spinning out of balance.
  3. My Fabia started to lose a bottle of wash a day. Took it all to pieces and found out that it was the valve on the front of the washer motor that had split causing a constant drip. I would try and have a peep first by loosening the wheel arch liner, before removing the entire bumper. If you can’t get the part and need to use the car, then you will end up taking the bumper off twice. The clips to the under tray are a PITA, they like to disappear.
  4. Sorry to bring up an old topic. Driving along this morning and my glow plug light has started to flash. Ecu / Obd light not illuminated. I have Torque app on my phone. I have done a scan and it has not given me any fault codes? (either there are none, the app does not work or it can’t read codes not in the ecu- like abs faults???) My brake lights work. Shall I just change the brake pedal switch and hope it goes away? Any other ideas on what it could be. Thanks

  6. I have found mine great even on part worn summer tyres. Managed to get up here in the snow, with only 4x4's for company and some mentalist on a moped. http://maps.google.c...,287.28,,0,2.29 Sorry shoule read the title, ASR crap in the snow.
  7. http://www.evo.co.uk...ort_megane.html This any good? I dont have one, but they look good apart from the usual niggles.
  8. If they are up there and not connected to a Soil vent pipe, boiler or extract fan they are to naturally ventilate the loft and eliminate the build-up of condensation. It is possible that the builder has installed the incorrect ridge vents as they look more like terminal vents. Your neighbour has them too and do they have the same problem? You could get a builder to swap them for weatherproof items, you just need to make sure they provide sufficient ventilation.
  9. My front passenger door leaked, you could see corrosion /leak path on the inner aluminium door panel at the bottom.
  10. Had my car serviced there today, all good and nothing wrong (even got an overdue wash). The only thing I was a bit peeved about was the crafty bottle of oil installed in my boot, which I didn’t ask for but featured on the bill. If it wasn’t my wife collecting and paying, this would have been questioned. My car has hardly used any oil in the last 10k, so will probably never get used and will probably end up getting crushed and split.I think they should lay off the Vauxhall literature in the glove box too… it’s all about the green badge
  11. _VRs_ - 04 plate 62,200  Probably lower about
  12. Kent police still use mk1 Fabia's, spotted an estate parked on a double yellow yesterday in Tonbridge.
  13. I had frequency issues with my Vaio? I am not an expert, but might be worth a try.
  14. C4HNT Silver Lotus Esprit on the way to Goodwood.
  15. My father had this generation of Mondeo as a company car, replaced at 100000 miles with one fault a split boost hose. Not all are bad. Saying that he hated it, an expanse of black plastic, a hard ride and just felt big and awkward to manoeuvre.
