Make & Model: Skoda Octavia VRS MK3 2.0 litre (245 BHP) Unmodified Colour: Blue Mileage: 32k (32168 to be exact of this morning, it is still in use, so will go up, but not long runs) Price: £15499 Description: Selling my much loved Skoda Octavia VRS 245 in the best colour, manual gearbox. I have now owned it just over 2 years, I had dreams of keeping it forever and eventually modifying it, but it's warranty has only just ended so that never happened, and I am having to get rid of it as my wife just won't drive it 😭 Any questions, or if you'd like any other pictures of the car please let me know, willing to answer anything. Car is standard spec I believe, some highlights: VRS trim with sports seats Cruise control 18 inch alloys Red brake calipers Auto dim rear view mirror Auto lighting with LED Daytime running lights Auto climate control with left and right zones Tinted rear glass remote central locking with 2 keys Built in touch screen display, with Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adjustable centre armrest with storage Auto rain wipers Lane assist Condition: Car's in great condition for it's age, has some stone chips on the bonet and bumper, see pics I tried to capture, nothing you wouldn't expect to see, alloys have some scrapes see pictures, and there is a barely noticeable weird whirl type scratch on the roof that looks like it would buff out. Has the ice scraper in the petrol cap and comes with 2 keys! Service History/Receipts/Recent Service work: The car is due an interim service now, and I will put it through that, I have details about all of it's service history with the exception of 2022, I was told it was serviced in June 2022, but I do not know who by and it was not on the electronic copy of the service history I have. During my ownership it has been serviced by an independent garage so I just have receipts, MOT was done in May/June this year. Had the coolant water pump replaced last year which cost over £800. Extras: Has boot liner and upgraded LED boot lighting. Collection: Collection in person, I am based in York.

I'm looking to sell my 68 Skoda Octivia VRS 245 completely unmodified, justr over 30k on clock in lovely blue, looking for some advice on what I should be selling it for price wise. I did a look for all the free price tools online I could find Car Wow - £15,599 Motorway - £14201 Webuyanycar - £14365 Now I thought AutoTrader would give me a better idea what it's worth as they are supposedly advising you the price to sell it, but they came in at £14700. I assumed I would be able to sell it more myself than if I used Car Wow for example, I mean not a lot more, but a bit Any advice on price greatly appreciated, also believe me I don't want to be selling the car in the first place, but need something smaller for my wife who won't drive it.

I had to go and check I didn't imagine the word auxiliary, the garage deffo printed it on my invoice, so they sent me down the wrong rabbit hole 😛

So my garage came back to me and they identified the parts for one they literally did yesterday on a Golf and it's clearly the main waterpump based off these part numbers, he sent me this snippet of the invoice they did, obviously this is Golf parts, so maybe not the exact same ones for me. He said they do one of these like every other week at the moment, same issue, you'd think there would have been a recall, but then I suppose if the part lasts 5 years, even if it has a fault in it's design they probably get away with it I'll try my local official Skoda garage anyway, see how there pricing compares. Thanks everyone for replies, I've asked the garage that serviced it to tell me the part number as well, will report back with more info when I have it, sure he said it was at the front of the engine, but yeah if it's the main water pump then I expect £830 isn't as bad as I thought... Feel like I might be waiting days for DM Keith Parts/Service to call me back, this is the second time I called them about it and they never called back last time 😛

I have a 2018 Mk3 Octavia VRS 245 and I recently discovered a coolant leak, it was just before it's full service, so I asked my garage to take a look and they reported back that the leak is coming from the auxiliary water pump. I've been quoted £830 to have the replaced and fitted, has anyone else experienced this, I tried googling the part but have had 0 luck, the garage said it was a small belt driven pump, and they told me they'd had to replace quite a few of these, and that there was a well known fault with the part, so it had been replaced with a more solid metal pump. Obviously £830 for an auxiliary water pump sounds rather steep, I'm assuming this is a secondary pump. Any help finding the part online with a price, so I can believe the garage would be appreciated, anyone else that's gone through this same issue would love to hear if you paid as much. I've used this garage for years, and they've generally been very honest in the past so I doubt they are lying to me about the cost, it just shocked me really THANKS!!!
