  1. Fuel at motorway services has always been wallet raping anyway
  2. I had to go to the local Post Office today to post off a few parcels, (our post office is inside the local McColls news/kwikeemart, like most around here), and she says how people don't really send letters any more much, due to modern technology, such as e-mail, and text etc. Even most utilities offer a paperless online billing system now. I've also heard a cetain delivery company is doing a tie up with Tesco! Is there anything this company wont do to get control of everything?
  3. Now I know that bouncing along in a Pacer has knackered your brain Andy. That sounds vile
  4. Keep us posted mate. It has to be an epic conversion for the 'DIY' ist.
  5. We have 2 large 'Every little DOESN'T Help' within a few miles, and the one at the main artery junction is always 2p a litre cheaper, and has a truck park, with LGV pumps. Morryways seems to be one of the cheapest around here
  6. Now that is taking the @*-? ! I know some stations round here are a bit salty at 143.9 for the green stuff & 148.9 for the fuel of satan, but that really is beyond a joke!
  7. The way this site is actually going, I can see more and more using the Brisky Facebook site (which is free). Freedom membership is worth bugger all for what you get for 99% of members, and I do agree that there are a few mods on here who shall we say show zero tact & diplomacy. There is an old saying 'Give em a bit of power & they think they are Hitler' etc. I'm a mod on umpteen different forums, and I wouldn't dream of making comments like Delac did. Foot in mouth there my old sunshine. Anyway, for the OP £250- £300 I would say, depending how bad the tin worm is. Perhaps it is time for Colin to completely overhaul the moderators system & only allow people who actually own the types in question to moderate? It would be common sense.
  8. Try asking in the FABIA part of the forum. You may get the correct help you need.
  9. Fuel can, jump leads, spare bulbs, foot pump, thick coat, and decent wheelbrace, plus my Stoplock Pro lives in there when I'm driving about.
  10. I was behind some grade one butt brain who put a fiver into a Mondano V6 yesterday! What a grade one donkey brain! Many stations around here were shut most of today thanks to no motionlotion, and my local BP was shut yesterday at 2pm! Tesco closed at 6pm last night after they ran out!
  11. Well of course Lego is absolutely full of win. There is a website full of spare Lego gubbins for sale, known as Bricklink
  12. Sadly you do need a complete car as a donor, and if you can't find one, you will really struggle to do the conversion. The SDI has too many unique parts compared to the 1.3, and having these fabricated will be pretty costly I should imagine. Also the 1.9SDi engine is a fair bit heavier than the 1.3 unit, so you have to think about things like the front springs.
