  1. Fuel at motorway services has always been wallet raping anyway
  2. I had to go to the local Post Office today to post off a few parcels, (our post office is inside the local McColls news/kwikeemart, like most around here), and she says how people don't really send letters any more much, due to modern technology, such as e-mail, and text etc. Even most utilities offer a paperless online billing system now. I've also heard a cetain delivery company is doing a tie up with Tesco! Is there anything this company wont do to get control of everything?
  3. Now I know that bouncing along in a Pacer has knackered your brain Andy. That sounds vile
  4. Keep us posted mate. It has to be an epic conversion for the 'DIY' ist.
  5. We have 2 large 'Every little DOESN'T Help' within a few miles, and the one at the main artery junction is always 2p a litre cheaper, and has a truck park, with LGV pumps. Morryways seems to be one of the cheapest around here
  6. Now that is taking the @*-? ! I know some stations round here are a bit salty at 143.9 for the green stuff & 148.9 for the fuel of satan, but that really is beyond a joke!
  7. The way this site is actually going, I can see more and more using the Brisky Facebook site (which is free). Freedom membership is worth bugger all for what you get for 99% of members, and I do agree that there are a few mods on here who shall we say show zero tact & diplomacy. There is an old saying 'Give em a bit of power & they think they are Hitler' etc. I'm a mod on umpteen different forums, and I wouldn't dream of making comments like Delac did. Foot in mouth there my old sunshine. Anyway, for the OP £250- £300 I would say, depending how bad the tin worm is. Perhaps it is time for Colin to completely overhaul the moderators system & only allow people who actually own the types in question to moderate? It would be common sense.
  8. Try asking in the FABIA part of the forum. You may get the correct help you need.
  9. Fuel can, jump leads, spare bulbs, foot pump, thick coat, and decent wheelbrace, plus my Stoplock Pro lives in there when I'm driving about.
  10. I was behind some grade one butt brain who put a fiver into a Mondano V6 yesterday! What a grade one donkey brain! Many stations around here were shut most of today thanks to no motionlotion, and my local BP was shut yesterday at 2pm! Tesco closed at 6pm last night after they ran out!
  11. Well of course Lego is absolutely full of win. There is a website full of spare Lego gubbins for sale, known as Bricklink
  12. Sadly you do need a complete car as a donor, and if you can't find one, you will really struggle to do the conversion. The SDI has too many unique parts compared to the 1.3, and having these fabricated will be pretty costly I should imagine. Also the 1.9SDi engine is a fair bit heavier than the 1.3 unit, so you have to think about things like the front springs.
  13. Game have been a round a fairly long time too, but I always found their prices a bit salty. No doubt that is a load more vacant units in the high streets of the UK, and more poor sods on the dole.
  14. One thing that has always puzzles me about 99.99% of football 'fans'. Why support a team that isn't local to you and you have no physical connections to the area? The only sensible theory is that the person is a 'Glory supporter'. Go and watch REAL football, such as your local pub side. These lot don't hobble off injured when they stub a toe or get a hair out of place, plus they have a real passion for the game, which can sometimes be rather heated. No Premiership footballer cares two tosses about the game, only about the money. By the way, where I come from, football is known as the game for jessies anyway. Rugby League is the true mans game! A game you are only playing properly if there is blood pouring out somewhere on nearly every player LOL
  15. Took the missus to work, did a load of washing, and chilled out
  16. Buy a complete 1.9SDI donor, because I have a nasty feeling things like the PAS pump will be completely different
  17. RIP Jocky. A Darts Legend
  18. The only form of industrial action they should be allowed to take is an overtime ban
  19. It was very likely it was me who valeted said car his royal Fordyness mentions when it was a fresh out of the box brand spanker. Its a bright green LXi base, that hasn't even got a stereo fitted. Less than 200 miles on the clock too. Its so fresh it's almost minty.
  20. It sounds like you need a 'multicar' policy, from such as Admiral, which would 'tag it on' to your VRS policy
  21. I use 10W/40 semi synthetic. Does the job, not the cheapest mind you. At least its cheaper than what my old Ford used. 5W/30 fully synthetic. Mega pricey!
