  1. Any news on what's causing this fault code? I have had the same problem(sudden loss of boost, after restarting it runs fine) for quite some time now and the dealer haven't been able to get the problem sorted. So far they have changed DV, some of the piping between turbo and IC, cleaned the throttle body, changed throttle body and tested all tubes/pipes for leakeage. Looks like the car is going to VAG-sweden for further trouble shooting since no one really seem to know what's causing the code(17705) and the dealer have done everything they can. / Christian
  2. Yep, a Hohenester chip wich should produce ~210hp/310nm. When tested with vag-com it indicatet 330nm+ and 300nm was there up to 5000rpm. It's bit faster than stock I think. Not that impressed by the T5 anyway. A mate has got one(automatic) and it wasn't much quicker thean the RS when my RS was still standard. / Christian
  3. I haven't really had any chance of racing the RS against other cars since it's been chipped. Atleast I have had the pleasure of leaving 2 Volvo s60 T5 behind at two separate occasions. Had them by a couple of car lengths up to about 110Mph when I backed off. The frist T5 tried to beat me 3 times in a row from the lights up to illegal speeds with the same result everry time. Quite fun :hihi: 250bhp Volvo...
  4. Found this thread on RS6.com: http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2897 Nice cars to say the least
  5. Very impressive figures indeed!!! Guess it's time for a new clutch, preassure plate, LSD and new front tyres? :drive1:
  6. Im'm sure it's a nice car but it won't be anywhere near the atractive Skoda prices in Sweden. The S40 T5(fwd) will cost about 12000Euros more than an RS... Nuff said / Christian
  7. That is some seriously high intake temps!!! There are two different ways of using a dynamometer to measure engine/wheel power. In a "statical" dynorun the engine power is being measured under load att every 500rpms for _a couple of seconds_ until the power "evens out" or gets "stable". This continues over the whole rev range. A "dynamical" dynorun is just a "sweep" under load through the rev range and thus a little less of a stress on the engine since the revs never are constant. This especially have a positive effect on our turboengines since much less heat from the turbo is being developed. A static dynorun often shows about 5-10% less power than a dynamic and this can lead to some optimistic figures when compared to the specs from the car manufufacturers. All car manufacturers powerfigures are measured using the static type of power measuring and therefore they can't really be compared to the dynamical. Whope any of this made sense' date=' it's really late Check out: [url']http://www.rototest.com/products/index.htm[/url] / Christian
  8. Loukas had 189whp and I think the 230bhp you are mentioning are at the flywheel. Right? Also, it seems Loukas did a static dyno test and not a dynamic?
  9. When I think of it I think you are right. My RS had a similar problem and went to the dealer to sort it out. They replaced the n75 and the powerdelivery is much smoother than before. Unfortunately I lost my drivers licensce for speeding before the n75 was replaced so I haven't been able to try the car that much. Btw, my car is also chipped(hohenester sport). / Christian
  10. If you have a specified max TQ of 295nm and the limitation is at 300bs/ft that isn't the problem. 300lb/ft=406nm 1 lbf/ft = 1,355 82 Nm The uneaven powerdelivery is probably because of the chip. / Christian
  11. I have wheighed my wheels. 19.6kg for a 17" rim with 205/50 Continentals. My 18" BBS CH with 225/40 Dunlops wheighed 1kg less Still, the stock wheels should be considered pretty light. Edit: a 17" or 18" tyre weighs ~10kg
  12. I'm pretty sure the front will be too soft since the diesel engine is much heavier than the petrol 1.8t. You are better off buying a suspension upgrade suited for your car. I think KW and H&R both make complete kits for the Octavia diesels. / Christian
  13. 1 min left at 600kb/s+ edit: 30s edit2: time to watch the vid  edit3: The last one was cool. That Alfa 75 seems to corner pretty well.
  14. BredBandsBolaget(BBB). Forgot to mention it's only availiable in Sweden:) Hehe, I just had to Downloading at over 1Mbyte/s is... nice
  15. Got my new broadband Friday. Before my speed was 1Mbit/0.5Mb(UL/DL) and my new connection speed is 12Mbit/9Mbit
