Just got an 09 plate pre refresh Elegance from D M Keiths, Leeds branch and I have a couple of issues.( one of them is it looks like some one walked up my bonnet in-between me having the test drive and getting it home, and I didn't notice it till I got home and was showing the car to my eldest lad...) the other is I got a friend to scan it with VCDS and to my surprise it came up with two errors.

Should the faults be covered under warranty ?
The Alarm ultrasonics DTC doesn't worry me (if needs be i can do it myself, found it mentioned elsewhere in the forum) but the 005712 - Powertrain Data Bus does... We reset the DTC on the engine and it came back straight away. The codes log is from after i reset it, before I reset the DTC I noticed that the mileage matched the last time it was serviced as though they had simply cleared the DTC log on an ongoing problem. (if it as a problem..)
any help appreciated on how serious it is, or if it might jump out and bite me if it's not sorted ....
