  1. AFH is the engine your looking for, best thing you'll ever do for easy power and revs and all round awesomeness. I was a little unsure as I use mine for road rallying and was worried itd have less torque but no! Do it you wont look back, I've not bothered re-taxing so cant comment nor can I comment on insurance as mines on a motorsport policy.
  2. Thank you Ricado, iv just noticed that in the last pic above my post!
  3. My boot sticker is faded and I need to order some paint I have the sticker under the bonnet that reads 9P9P would that be my paint code? my feli is white. Is 9P9P my paint code?
  4. Nice job!i! is the steering wheel boss a bolt straight on job? any mk3 golf boss?
  5. Hi guys picking your brains here, Felicia with an AFH bolted in, I've had the rotor arm burn out, like mega fooked and the cap is burnt out as well not as bad a the arm but still burnt out. It was running still but massive misfires! Any idea why? Intermotor parts used.

  7. Welcome Lugosy, I can see you being very useful over there :-) I'm not in need of anything yet but when I am, you'll know that's for sure!i! ;-)
  8. I believe (from what I've read from the likes of Tom) yes you can fit the polo gearbox but you'll run in to problems with mounts, drive shafts, gear selector etc.
  9. Not in the uk that I know of, you'd have to get it shipped over from cz.
  10. Depends if its all in and around town driving it might be preferred having a lower final drive.
  11. Anybody know if that's true about the oil pump gasket?
  12. Hi guys more vag experience required please. Iv got my 1600 AFH built and driving about but iv got a tapping kinda noise going on that is most certainly from the valve train, Im sure its an oil pressure issue, I've not yet put a test gauge on it yet because I'm reluctant to remove the pressure sender due to a very dodgy thread, also the "lack of pressure" isn't bringing on the light on the dash. When I built it I fitted a new oil pump that to the best of my knowledge is working as It should but I ha read there could possibly be an option of pump to block gasket that bolts up perfectly but the oil gallery hole is off by roughly half a hole so impeding oil flow hence lack of pressure in the top end, im waiting for a call back from my vw dealer but does anybody know if this is true??????? Please I'me starting to go mad that I cant find the problem!!!!
  13. I've got a tapping on mine that I just cant figure out! Really starting to stress me out atm!
  14. I have posted on clubpolo just thought id ask here as well. Thanks bud.
  15. So far all I've done is thread a 6mm allen key bolt in to a sort piece of pipe "glued" in with hydraulic seal. Works a treat but will look at a proper silicon blank of just o I don't have to think about it again.
  16. Right guys your thoughts and experiences on cams for the AFH its build to a 1600, I've got a noisy tappet after the rebuild so im guna sling a few new ones in and as the cams have to come out I'm going to replace I'm thinking of using piper as I'm not going after mad power just looking to bring the power band down the revs a little and release a few more ponies. So what have you guys used and what do you rate?
  17. Again thanks Tom, immob is being coded this afternoon, can't wait.
