  1. Anyone on here ever done it? Just wondering what's needed/involved as I'm thinking of ripping mine out whilst I'm off over Christmas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. We tried that way Steve, I'm not a mechanic or anything but my mate said something about trying too pressure bleed it or something? I don't know! That's what we were thinking Kev, maybe the CSC supplied by helix is slightly bigger to accommodate for the Single Mass instead of the Thickness of the dual mass. I'm going to try and get in touch with helix today and see what they say I'll let you know the outcome, Appreciate the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Second hand but the plate was in good nick with loads of life left, it's running perfect just the bite is literally right at the end of the pedal which is quite annoying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No it didn't do it with the other clutch fitted, it's stopped making the noise now. Problem we've got now is the bite is right at the very top of the pedal and we can't get it to go down. Tried bleeding the clutch twice and it's not making any difference at all. Was a brand new Sach's release bearing we put in, any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. There's a black cap on the end of the box you take that off and it goes in there, think it's where the bearing is for the main shaft. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6089802-02M-whining-decel-noises-aftermarket-clutch-disengagement-issues-mainshaft-axial-play Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Fitted a Helix SMF tonight, I knew about the spacer that needed to be fitted to stop the whining on deceleration, I've fitted one spacer but it's still noisy as hell on Decel. Just wondering for those who have one fitted how many spacers you used? Is it just a trial and error kind of thing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I don't come on here like I used too Kev so must have missed it. Any idea on the best places to buy them from? Ideally could do with a box with one already fitted coming up for sale! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The time has come. Where is the cheapest place to buy one from and what are people using, I'm torn between Quaife and Wavetrac. From what I gather the way the Wavetrac works is superior over the quaife but at the end of the day they both do the same job and if ones going to be a load more than the other ill just go for the cheapest! 13. Hi guys, when I put my battery in the boot I removed the plastic cover with all the fuse numbers on so I'm struggling to find which one is the ABS fuse, can anyone point me to which colour the wire is as they are all colour coded as well as numbered. This is the one that goes on the fuse box on the battery not the one in the cabin. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Got the wheels powder coated. Finally got it dyno'd, made a healthy 208bhp 300FtLb's on a very mild Map due to a slipping clutch , Managed a 14.5 at York raceways on Sunday too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeh I laughed my back off at my mate when he first put them on his civic but I've really taken a liking to them now. I know they won't make them specifically for the Fabia but I'm wanting someone who has them and found a universal set that are a decent fit to show me where they've got them from. The little plastic 'aero' kind of things you see people putting on their bumpers nowadays! Ha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I know there's a few people who have them nowadays, anyone point me in the right direction as to where there getting them from? Most of the ones I come across on eBay are for Civic's and Jap cars. Don't wanna be buying universal ones if they're gunna be a ****e fit and someone knows of a decent set that fit well.
