  1. Hopefully mate - I am keeping my eye out for a Red or Black one around the 2.5K mark as I want an immaculate example. Got any pics of yours mate? Feel free to drop me a friend request on FB - https://www.facebook.com/AshBoost
  2. Hello, My name is Ash and I live in Stoke on trent. I had a beautiful example of a Skoda Octavia VRS Mk1 but made a very poor decision to swap it for a for a Corsa Turbo - I know, Im a tw*t for doing it :( Link to previous build thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/291579-ashs-octy-vrs-build-thread/ Since then I have sold the Corsa turbo and got myself and Astra Mk3 B204 which I do love but I have never been as happy as I was when I was driving the Octy! Link to build thread on MigWeb: http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/692706-astra-mk3-4x4-b204-project.html I am really tempted to sell the Astra and get another Octy!! :P
  3. I must admit I miss this car and wish I never sold it. I am contemplating getting another but in black.
  4. I am keen on removing my Cat for a decent setup. I have one of them OBD2 bluetooth adaptors which I can connect to my phone to turn off the EML light. Does removing the Cat make a difference ?
  5. I have seen an octy with Porsche Boxter callipers with fabricated brackets, looked the nuts.
  6. That looks the nuts mate, I might consider that paint job for my MK1 VRS
  7. Seems to be alot of work to get this to be a decent VRS. Each to there own though.
  8. I had a weird issue when I revved my car it would not dump at all. Checked the dump valve and i was running a red one which I checked and its for 34PSI +. I changed it to a yellow one and it changed the whole drive of my car. No boost surge and it dumped as it should
  9. Have you done a Car Check Text thing as that can reveal some decent information?
  10. Have you got a wide band sensor nocking about or a mate with one? I say this because this was the same problem I had with my c20let corsa as it was not fuelling right... it was the lambda sensor causing the issue.
  11. Well, if you are running g12 coolant and it has dripped onto the floor it looks slightly like oil is mixed. How big was the puddle and do you have your splash guard under the engine still?
  12. For the horse you are running mate this setup is decent. The original pads fade really quickly.
  13. +1 again for the manifold, I have exactly the same issues with mine, it scared the **** out of me because I thought my engine was broken.
  14. The VRS is a rare care tbh, I only have seen 2 others where I live. A silver one and another red one. When I drive past them they give me a little peep
  15. That is **** mate, what did the insurance say about it?
  16. Just a quick update, the VRS is now off the road for winter and I am planning to get it to around 300BHP. Any ideas on the mods I would require/turbo?
  17. Haha yea, I will be looking for comps or something different that has not been done before.
  18. I'm surprised, they suit the car well to be honest. The only thing i dislike about the Octavia is the huge arse end.
  19. I have heard these rARB make the car handle 10x better. I think I will be getting one when I get paid. Please let me know how you got on with it.
  20. +1 to this, i would say around the late 5's early 6's with decent tiers and weather conditions.
  21. I would love a 4x4 VRS. You could put so much power down!
  22. Well that's what I thought as they are building some mad cars there. I then left them a message on the FB wall asking them to change it as it could potentially ruin my car 'Over Dramatic'. They did change it and provide another pipe that was cut and all good.
