skoda - 1.2 engine - missing at low revs - po407 code
Good morning Wino, I managed to drive the car for longer periods with the connector for the EGR disconnected with no issues at all and after some time the engine light came up. then i reconnected the EGR cable and again kept driving it till this morning. No issues whatsoever. what i'm guessing is maybe the EGR solenoid got stuck for some time. So far so good and the engine light also went off without any reset.

skoda - 1.2 engine - missing at low revs - po407 code
HI Wino, the following was carried out. when PCV hole was blocked for a couple of seconds , i could here a low pitched squeak but nothing really happened at idle mode. regarding the EGR Valve i removed the connector and went for the same drive. to be honest the car was working smoothly even at low revs and no light showed up. will try it again in the next 4hrs or so for a longer drivve to make sure it remains the same. is this a dirty/damaged EGR Valve? I read this is just a solenoid that could be stuck could it be the case?

skoda - 1.2 engine - missing at low revs - po407 code
Last Week my skoda fabia 2006 started missing at low revs ( between 2K and 3K revs) at high revs it work like a charm. At idle nothing but when it start missing there is still power not like its loosing power as if one of the coils is damaged. I noticed that it was consuming more fuel than usual not sure if it is related. Then I had the warning light engine check. Connected my diagnostic tool and got a PO407 error as attached. Since a service was carried out almost 2 months ago and the fuel filter was replaced, to star off i cleaned the throttle bottle with some cleaner and a cloth which was a bit dirty to be honest. Then i noticed that there was a tube related to the brake booster vacuum host was slightly cracked/damaged. I replaced that since i read it could be the cause, since it will intake air from there. Have checked the fuel cap to make sure it is sealing properly and added some fuel cleaner with the unleaded to make sure the fuel system is in place. went for a ride and worked like a charm for a day. Now the car starts missing again. any ideas please?

Car keys code
My wife lost the keys including those of my fabia 2011 very near to where we live. Luckily we have the spare key. What is the possibility to change the code of my key and that of the car to avoid someone using the lost key.?? 🤔

Power steering - super heavy - no warning lights
Dear Wino, would like to thank you for your prompt reply and support. Just wanted to let you know that this weekend we have replaced the steering rack since it was slightly damaged when fixing the engine mount as you have indicated clearly. After replacing the rack the system was refreshed from errors, since the steering warning light came on and there we go, working to perfection . thanks for your support .

not really sure. what is known is that it started gradually and then got heavy in less than 2 weeks. Do you think there is something related to the clutch ?

Power steering - super heavy - no warning lights
I'm having an issue of a heavy Steering with the exception that no lights are coming up . we have replaced the pump and the angle sensor and checked also the supply wires going to the pump. Fuses , earth cable, battery and cables to and fro where checked. Hydraulic oil replaced to make sure its not the cause. Can someone please illuminate me. Can't find other option even tough we searched this forum for which i thank you all, the net and took the car to two electricians to check for codes/error. i'm starting to think its an issue with the mechanical part of steering rack/shaft maybe some seals etc. Any help would be highly appreciated 😞
