One to be avoided...BruceWayne. This clown wanted to buy a CD changer I have advertised on here, He also had me remove the mounting bracket from the car before I carefully packaged it all up. He requested my Paypal info to make payment, which I gave him & guess what?? He goes silent for a few days (despite being on here & reading a message I sent him) 4 days later I receives a PM telling me his car has broken down & won't be buying it after all! Well..thanks for nothing matey!

Are you sure it's catching the mat & not simply sticking down on it's own accord? Common fault on the mk1 Octy.

Check your brake lights. My missus had a Golf tdi some yrs ago & same flashing glow plug light meant dodgy brake lights!! Skoda possibly the same set up?

The 1.4 16v is notorious for it. My Son's Golf ran faultlessly up to 152000 miles & sounded more like a TDI when he sold it.

My Daughter inherited a 1993 Nissan Micra when an old inlaw popped her clogs, mileage then (3 yrs ago) was 17000 miles.

Hi. The unit was mounted in the boot of my Octavia, I really couldn't say whether it would fit a Fabia or not. I have the mounting bracket for the Octavia boot fitment but the cable to link the head unit still lives in my car as it looked more trouble than it was worth to strip out.

Six disc CD changer removed from mk1 Octavia, perfect working order. I also have the original Skoda symphony head unit (cassette) to suit this changer but needs coded, free to buyer if they want it. Price £20. Collection from Grangemouth, Scotland. Or will package & post by trackable method for £10.

I have a VRS mark one leather steering wheel for sale, complete with airbag. The airbag has a VW badge on it but Skoda badges of the same diameter are readily available on ebay for about a fiver. Could it be coming from the rear? I'm still thinking it's a brake issue.

Is the sound present all the time, or just during & after braking??

Give the rod from the pedal to the master cylinder a good squirt with WD40 & work the pedal a few times, repeat this over the next few days & see how it goes. My pedal was sticking half way up sometimes & this cured it 100%.
