  1. I've got a steering wheel boss for a Skoda Favorit, standard aftermarket 6 hole mounting. I used it to fit a Momo wheel to my Favorit. The boss is free to a good home. (without the 6 steering wheel bolts) Just cover postage please. £5 will cover signed for 1st class. I can email/ post a pic if any one really wants to see it...
  2. I'm selling my Momo Monte Carlo Steering Wheel 350mm diameter (approx. 13.8 inches) Black leather rim with shaped hand grips and with red stitching. Black spokes Red ‘momo’ horn push In excellent condition. Uncluded is the steering wheel, 6 allen bolts and horn push only. There is no boss included. I purchased this in May 2013 from the USA for $209.95 including delivery and duty, as I wanted a wheel of 350mm diameter rather than the more commonly available Momo team size of 280mm or 300mm. This model of steering wheel is currently listed online in the USA for $189.95 plus shipping and duty.   3. So after nearly three years of ownership, I've reluctantly decided to sell the truck. It never got the light modificatons I'd planned - mainly because it enjoyed it too much as it is! Having three children means having a two seater isn't the most logical family transport... I'll be sad to see it go but it's been great fun....
  4. Skoda Favorit Foreman E pick up. Red. Fuel injected 1.3, 5 speed gearbox, intermittent wipers. Has never had a radio fitted. 2 set of keys, with factory/dealer fitted immobiliser, Standard and unmodified. First registered 08 09 94 I bought it in May 2013 and have covered about 13,000 miles. It’s now on just under 61,200 miles. I’m the third owner. The second owner only had it for a short time. He was a commercial vehicle enthusiast, and bought this planning to use it as a work truck and also as a promotional vehicle for his business. However, he realised it was too good to use as a work truck and his wife wouldn’t let him have 2 trucks, so he reluctantly sold it to me! As far as I know it’s never been used as a commercial vehicle. I’m told the first owner kept in it a heated garage and only used it for regular tip runs with his garden waste. I’ve mostly used it for transporting bicycles to and from rides and regularly drive it on a 200 mile round trip to see family. LOTS of history! I have (I think) every receipt from new including the original bill of sale and a thank you for ‘buying this vehicle’ letter from the supplying dealer. Original dealer sticker in rear window. It’s just been MOT’d. MOT expires 22 Feb 2017. No advisories. In my ownership it’s had regular oil and filter changes, new front brake calipers and front disks, and this month, a front CV boot, rear exhaust box, and had the fog light switch replaced as it stopped working. It had a mystery cutting out fault for a few months, hence it had a new crank sensor, but it turned out to be the fuel pump - which was replaced. In my opinion it wears its miles very well. The body has a few marks commensurate with reular use. The (steel) wheels would benefit from a re-paint. There is a small area of rust bubbling on the offside rear wheelarch as shown in the photos. The paint is peeling on the rear (alloy!) panels above the rear lights, and on the passenger side door mirror mount. it has had a bed liner from new. the Tonneau cover has about a 6 inch length of stitching that as come un-stitched and it has shrunk over time so doesn't fit properly. The MOT tester commented on the good condition of the car in general and in particular the underside, expressing surprise that, unusually, it was still red! A reluctant sale, but I’ve had to finally admit that no matter how many push-bikes it can carry, having a 2 seater when you have 3 children is not the most logical choice for family transport! Car is located near Thame in Oxfordshire. Any question please ask. A good home is wanted! It's had to know what it's worth - so I'm asking £1,950.   5. Tgsnks for the suggestions. Turns out the fuel pump was intermittently cutting out. Which is why sometimes it would restart first turn or sometimes not!

  8. After time away from car fiddling due to real life I'm back to pondering my options. Gaz shocks are looking into the possibilities for me. Now. Wheel's... The stock steel wheels are 4.5j x 13 et38. Did any favorits or felicias come with 13" steel rims wider than 4.5j. I'm pondering keeping 13" steels but going to 185/60r13 tyres from the stock 165/70r13 so want wheels up to 6j wide. Thanks.
  9. A belated response to this after family illness (now thankfully resolved) has minimised my online-ness. Although it 'felt' electoral turns out it was the fuel pump. Took my local old skool mechanic an age to diagnose it, to his embarrassment, so much so that he only charged me half the time it actually took him! Enjoying driving the truck again very much...

  11. We bought this as a 'stop gap' about a year ago when my wife's Polo went kaput. It's a 1999 Felicia Magic 5 door hatch (but without the Magic decals on the side). It's a metallic green-y/ blue / grey colour (what colour it actually is a source of much debate in the family.) Good bits: It's done approx. 50,000 miles and body work is is pretty good condition. It looks very presentable. It has a new (exchange) alternator, new fan belt, head gasket, coolant, thermostat and housing, Skoda Magic alloys Briskoda stickers in front and rear screens! Power steering. Bad bits: Interior is a few cigarette burns to seats and dash. The first owners was an elderly smoker! Sticky residue on dash that won't come off from an air freshener base Has original dealer interior mats. There's a couple of scuffs and a crack on the rear bumper and the nearside rear arch has been scuffed and badly touched-in (mis-matchi paint) in the past. Bodywork has usual wear and tear marks One alloy has a puncture (which is why it's wearing the steel space in the pics). All 4 alloys are present. It will need 2 tyres for the MOT. wiper blades need changing. One wheel nut missing, lost when I last changed the wheel. Oppps. It overheated after the bottom hose split. On replacing the head gasket I found that one of the bolts that holds the alternator bracket on had been replaced with one that's too long, and tightening this up had cracked a section of the block. I replaced the head gasket anyway, to see how it runs. Because this broken off bit of block is outside of the area of the gasket it runs OK and doesn't overheat but it weeps oil. I've not driven it far, only about 10 miles to the supermarket and back, and after 30 mins in the supermarket car park there was a palm-size puddle of oil below the car. It's useable as it is, but it is a notable leak. MOT has now expired. Advisories on the last MOT were slight play in both rear wheel bearings and slight play in rear shock top mounts. As per above, needs wipers replacing and two tyres for the MOT. The car's to good to scrap. It took us 1,200 miles round France last summer. Simplest would be a replacement engine dropping in,but sadly I don't have time to do that. The scrappy's offered me £120 for it. I'd much rather it went to an enthusiast Anyone want it for £120? That's £120 without road fund licence. If anyone wants the remaining RFL we can agree an additional price, Otherwise I'll cash it back in - is currently taxed till end of August. Collection from near Thame Oxfordshire by trailer, or driveable if you pre-booked it for an MOT, I guess.
  12. Coil pack,and crank sensor changed. Started and then went 10 yards before dieing! Arrrrrgh... So far it's had Fuel filter Dist cap Rotor arm coil pack crank sensor and cable Any more suggestions welcomed A 24 mile drive to work takes 2 hrs by public transport.:{(> Cheers all.
  13. Hi all, Suggestions welcome please. My Favorit ('94 SPI 50k miles) is cutting out intermittently. It starts fine (first turn of the key) and runs beautifully and ticks over sweetly. But it randomly just dies. It will sometimes instantly re-start after much cranking it over. Sometimes it won't. It has cut out when pulling off from a roundabout , when cruising on the motorway, gonig up hill and down hill, turning left and right. no commonality to any of the circumstances. I've changed the dist. cap, rotor arm, plugs, & fuel filter. I changed the fuel filter Sun eve and it's driven 50 miles with no issues, and then cut out when my wife was driving it 3 times this morning I can't see any loose earth wire or connections anywhere. It's got a factory(?) / dealer immobiliser on it - little red key and slot on the dash. Any suggestions please. This is driving me mad..... how can I best test the fuel pump? is it time to drain the tank and check for any junk in there? Thanks... (and the head gasket has gone on the Felicia.... bah humbug..... ) :{(>
  14. Hi all, Just got back from 1,600 miles through France in the Felicia As I que'd for the Ferry at Dover for the outward trip, the charging light came on with the engine at idle. The car ran and started fine all the time we were away (although I minimised load were possible) and for the 550 mile return trip (5 up!), but the final stretch from Dover last night with the lights and wipers on meant as we pulled on to the track behind our house the car conked out !!! I jump started it today and put a voltmeter on the battery. It shows 11.9 volts at engine off. It goes up to 13.4V as the revs rise, and stays there, but as the revs drop to idle the voltage drips and keeps on dropping. The fan belt looks OK (and give that it has a tensioner I assume the tension's OK). The voltage regular and battery were replaced 5,000 miles ago. Suggestions please? I'm stumped. Is it simply that the alternator is knackered? It seems odd that it's putting charge in at higher revs but not lower revs..... If it wasn't for the tensioner I'd think it was a loose fan belt. (I've used search but couldn't find an answer) Thanks, Nick
  15. On the drive into work this morning, I was following a Caddy pick up with a demountable rear Camper body that overhung the cab Luton van style. This set me thinking..... Does anyone know if anyone, in any country, ever made one for the Favorit?
