  1. Our Citigo has already had its gearbox replaced by Sinclair Skoda (Swansea). They were made to jump through hoops (oil, adjustments, etc.) before being given the o.k. by Skoda UK to carry out the replacement. When we complained to Skoda over the length of time it took before they gave the go ahead, they came back and blamed Sinclair! We knew this to be untrue, because the garage had always kept us up to date with progress. Very naughty. However, the replacement box has the same issue of difficulty in engaging first from cold. So, it's back to Sinclair again for another box - this time a straight replacement. Let us hope that box number three will be o.k.
  2. We have just completed 440 miles, all urban runs. Tank top up measurement gave 50mpg exactly.
  3. Am I the only one who likes the parcel shelf as fitted? Very useful.
  4. We part exchanged our Citroen C1 (read 107, Aygo) and the Citigo is far better in every respect. We had major problems coming to the surface with the C1 after just over 20k miles - water ingress being the least. The C1/107/Aygo may have the excellent Totota three-pot engine, but the rest of the car is Citroen/Peugeot - not good!
  5. Not so, download the accessories brochure from here http://www.skoda.co.uk/GBR/owners/Pages/default.aspx on the right in green text and look at page thirteen (not eight as I incorrectly stated previously). It clearly states that front and rears are available, fitted, for all models. I may try again and would appreciate comments on the following: the clips I had were totally rigid and unable to open up even the slightest. Were anyone elses flexible, as they surely should be to fit over the plastic mounting?
  6. Skoda UK are adamant that, despite what consecutive accessory brochures declare, there are no rear mud flaps for the Citigo and indeed none are listed on the Skoda internal parts database. My questioning this anomoly did not bring a constructive response, just repetition of their statement. My Dealer has now refunded the cost of the flaps after Skoda's intervention.
  7. No idea - we walk, cycle or (if shopping) take a bus for such short distances!
  8. The latest (12/12) Skoda accessories brochure states on page eight that mudflaps are "available on all models", from £35.40 fitted.. So, no need to order via VW?
  9. I asked about this when recently collecting our new Citigo: four years it is, although our local Dealer includes a waterpump change for £350. We also have a Mk6 Golf 1.6Tdi and I was told the same period for change, so presumably the same across all VAG current model cars.

  11. My Skoda dealer has spoken with their local area Skoda tech guy and he is adamant that the Up! flaps will not fit the Citigo. Hence, presumably, my failed attempts and waste of money. They are not prepared to offer a refund, as they are a VW and not Skoda listed part. So, if anyone wants a pair of rear flaps with fittings apart from the plastic mating pieces, PM me!

    Port of Exit

Ours landed at Sheerness and was with our dealer within a week.
  13. I have bought front and rear sets of mudflaps for our Citigo and have hit a major rear pair fitting problem (the fron were no problem). The flaps (Up! V1S0075101) come, as those who have already fitted them to a Citigo know, with plastic pieces for the inside of the bumper and are held in place by spring clips. I found the clips far too tight to push or even gently tap on (as per fitting diagram), tried unsuccessfully to widen them, then shattered both the plastic pieces! Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated: it is not clear from the diagram, but I am assuming that the clips fit on the outside of the plastic on the outer of the bumper as well as into the obvious guides on the inside.
