You'll have to forgive my ignorance but it looks stock the guy I bought it off mentioned everything was stock so I'm kind taking his word for it and going by other pictures thanks for the links much appreciated. Just trying to hunt a guide down to tackle this....

ah could you possible point me in the right direction for a upgrade on the cam? Also did you do the work yourself? at the minute ive put a new follower in becasue its my only car so still running it. in 2 weeks i want to have all the bits so i change all the bits in one go.

I bought the car on 80,000 I've done 6 6000 since so at the moment 86,000

My fears exactly the only way I guess is to take the valve cover off and look? A friend of mine has suggested it however I'm sure it's not that simple?

Hello all, having done lots of research and searches i finally got down to inspecting my cam follower. I have had this mk2 vrs 2006 2.0TFSI for 6 months 3 owners before so unsure how it was driven prior or if its been tuned. Much to my horror i saw that the cam follower was worn straight through and from the looks of it worn the hpfp lobe i believe? please see the pictures i have attached. I'd like some advise on what to do next my plan was to tune the car with r tech but i may need a new fuel pump that a side am i driving a ticking time bomb? or are there some simple repairs i can do to get it running well again. a strange problem i get is rough idle when stationary only when the car has warmed up however thes is immediately gone if the car is on a decline and increases with the car on a incline any ideas? Wondering if its just me being paranoid but does anyone elses fabia vrs turbo whistle quite loud? put it into neutral rev the car to about 1500 i get an almost dump valve like whistle? The car is running fine pulls in every gear no fuel problems etc. Even took it to the garage ad they did a check on all the sensors everything is fine?

Thanks for the info i might just start flooring it closer to the end of the warranty it seems to have subsided for now? No Idea why

Thanks a lot for your reply. I got in touch with consumer advise they said the dealer should at least repair the car under the "Sales of good act 1979". Update: I got in touch with the dealer because i came across another problem with the car, they said they will cover the cost of any repairs apart from the flywheel because it has not failed its just worn and that they had checked out the car before and there was nothing wrong with it. I will be getting back in touch with consumer advise see what they have to say. Thanks again.

Hello all, i know this is not the place to post this i tried to post it in the ask a tech page wouldn't let me? I have actually come across a problem with my car its been less than 2 weeks!. I took it to my garage they said its the DMF. I've been told that i can ask the dealer to fix the problem because it's become faulty in such a short space of time. I do have a warranty but my mechanic said they will not pay up because it has not failed! so he insisted i go back to the dealer and tell them to sort it out. Not sure about my rights in all this so will be contacting trading standards to see if they can help me. Wanted to know if anyone has had similar problems or got any advise for me? I'm not good with making threats and stuff want all this to go smoothly. I have already told the dealer about the problem they haven't offered to fix it.

Hello all, I have finally got the Fabia VRS TDI, a car i wanted a long time ago (when it first came out) sadly i was too young and could not afford the insurance.However, I finally got one! It's a 06 plate, black, done 47,000, with full history and 1 owner! very well looked after. Got a fully comprehensive warranty so don't plan on doing any mods soon. i did some research before buying the car and it lives up to everything if not more!. I've had people sit in the car holding onto the arm rest, these are people who have big motors themselves and they are just shocked at the power of this small little beast! Enough rambling i'm sure your all very aware of its capabilities! I LOVE this car!
