  1. Been back today and to another dealer who said they would do exact same deal for 19600. Went back to BENFIELD again and they will do it for 19500 and throw in GAP insurance too. So in effect it'll actually work out less than the blackline was now when you consider that includes GAP, Supaguard, Dog Guard and Boot Liner. Plus the £500 skoda deposit contribution. I would have been going to buy the Dog Guard, Boot Liner and GAP anyway and the Supaguard is an added bonus.
  2. Well I've been in again today and have they have given me some options. The first option is of having that same car when 3 months have passed so start of June and they said they will want 18k for it but I won't get the Skoda deposit contribution of £500 so in effect only £500 less than new which seems to me to be not a very good deal as it will have been registered and have up to 2000 miles on it. The second option is to get another car from the ones that are available (at port in Germany ready to be shipped according to their computers but production has stopped so its just what's already built). So one I was looking at as a possibility is a vRS Manual Estate in Race Blue Metallic and has options of: Black Alcantara Sports upholstery with red stitching, black Neptune alloy wheels, Sunset glass, rear park sensors, Auto dim rear view mirror and auto lights and wipers, Xenon Headlights and spare wheel. They said they can do that for £19750 which is a discount of £827.16 and they will fit a dog guard into the car, include a boot liner and put the Supaguard protection on the car which they weren't including on the blackline (saving me a couple of hundred quid on the dog stuff and also the Supaguard) The 3rd option is to refund my deposit and I go elsewhere so maybe another place and get a pre registered Blackline?!? I haven't decided as of yet what to do. BOOBLE I might phone Skoda and see what they say although I'm not sure there would be much because at the end of the day my originally 'reserved' blackline is now gone so can't get that and no other new blacklines available and the factory stopped making new ones so its either a new standard vRS with options one and VAT savings as example above or a pre registered blackline. MARKO I totally agree it doesn't make sense and yes production has stopped so its just whats been made and ready to ship that is available. Thanks MACR573 but I need an estate really for the dog!
  3. I thought I would share this. I can now whole heatedly recommend that anyone on here- DO NOT DEAL WITH BENFIELD MOTORS. I payed a deposit (at BENFIELD SKODA NEWCASTLE) to hold the last Blackline estate they had in group stock at their BENFIELD SKODA HARROGATE showroom. I payed the £500 deposit on 27/02/13 and arranged trade in value for current car and arranged finance through Skoda finance. Was given delivery date of 26th March to enable them to transport car from Harrogate to Newcastle and PDI, register, tax etc but was told I could have it earlier than this if I wanted. I went in to BENFIELD SKODA NEWCASTLE last Friday 01/03/13 with my paper counterpart driving licence to photocopy for finance company and asked to have car on the 18th and was told they would do their best. The next contact I had was a phone call on Monday 04/03/13 from BENFIELD SKODA NEWCASTLE saying SORRY YOU CAN'T HAVE THE CAR NOW BECAUSE BENFIELD SKODA HARROGATE HAVE REGISTERED AND TAXED IT AS A DEMONSTRATOR FOR THEMSELVES. Now somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but surely that car should not have been REGISTERED AS A DEMONSTRATOR TO THEMSELVES AFTER I PAYED A DEPOSIT AND ARRANGED FINANCE ETC AND WAS GIVEN MY DELIVERY DATE? To say I'm really annoyed at the moment is an understatement and I'm currently trying to sort sort something out with them but not really getting anywhere. It comes down to either ordering a standard vRS for the same money, getting one with options but paying considerably more for it with them offering a few hundred pounds discount or waiting 3 months until the car I originally ordered has been a demonstrator for 3 months and then buying it as an ex demo car but they are wanting me to pay around the same amount as I would be paying new for it, the figure of maybe '£500 less but you won't get Skoda £500 deposit contribution as its not a new car now' was mentioned to me! Now that sounds like a rotten deal to me as BENFIELD SKODA HARROGATE REGISTERED THE CAR I ORDERED AND PAYED DEPOSIT ON, AS A DEMONSTRATOR FOR THEMSELVES!!! If anyone has any advice or has been in this position before then I would love to hear from you!

  5. Last week Silbury Skoda in Cramlington had a black Blackline hatch but I'm unsure if it was pre-registered or not. I ordered a manual Estate in Race Blue Metallic only yesterday from Benfield Skoda in Newcaatle and will get it on a 13 plate next week once it arrives from their other showroom but it was the last Blackline they had in group stock so I was extremely fortunate! Can you not still get the finance and servicing offer on a pre registered or ex demo car? Have you asked?
