  1. I don't think the suspension helps either mine seems to be really bouncy don't know if that's just mine but combined with the cheap seats I can see how you got a trapped nerve, I've just upgraded to alfa leathers in mine and seems to be better already time will tell anyway I do a 2 and half hour drive at the start off the week to work and then the same at the end off the week home and after a hour I find my self shuffling about as my backs playing me up!
  2. Does the company who you work for not offer a lodging allowance or is this only available to contractors?
  3. Did my lessons in a SE and always wanted one since passing my test, commute 20k + a year so it was the logical choice once I had the funds and no claims to get one and cheap insurance
  4. Used falcon performance for work on my car and they are great cannot fault them, but as for remaps I cannot comment, would also like to hear if anyone has used them for a remap as it's something I'm looking to do.
  5. Would you not consider using a courier on this mate or is it defiantly collection only?
  6. Okay thanks a lot for both replies
  7. Where did you get your double din fascia Alex ?
  8. I know yeah it's daft how he's gone about that, people bidding on the car, clearly there main priority will be the seats.
  9. Is anything else needed when fitting the ap springs and shocks or is it just a case off swapping standard springs and shocks for the ap ones? Cheers jack
  10. Great! Cheers for your advise mate appreciated
  11. 205/40/17 to fit then does that sound right?
  12. Looking at putting spiders on my fabia they already have 205/50/17 tyres on them would they be okay to run on the fabia? Thanks jack
  13. Okay guys thanks, got a black fabia myself so looking at doing this to my grill
  14. Did you just spray that grill surround yourself or have a body shop do it? Both cars look great btw!
  15. Yeah I did have a slight whoosh noise as described on here but just thought I was paranoid about it! Then this week had it in the garage for full service mot and cambelt and waterpump nothing was mentioned off the boost leak so just assumed all was okay but obvisiouly not haha! Cheers for your reassurance anyway thanks
  16. As title says I was driving home Friday got on the motorway got speed for the motorway entrance then heard a pop all of a sudden black smoke coming from exhaust and car wouldn't accelerate over 50mph so I carried on until I could find a safe place to pull over and when I lifted the bonnet see that the top boost pipe had completely disconnected once re attached it worked fine thank god as I was starting to worry it was bigger problems, anyway just wondering if driving it while the pipe was disconnected and smoke flying from the exhaust may have caused any damage to the engine or other parts? New to turbos and boost pipes so sorry if I'm sounding stupid here for worrying as now the car is pulling better!
  17. Yeah that looks a good solution once I sort the re-threading out or new sump thanks corni
  18. Hutchy where abouts in the north east are you, regarding the engineer you know that does the re-threading as my sump is in the same situation at the poster off this topic, and at £170 for a new sump at the dealer am trying to look at cheaper alternative thanks
  19. Haha! I used to have the same problem with a key off mine, I used a firm on eBay maybe not the best place to go but it did the trick sent it off to them used my spare in the meanwhile and when it come back it was as good as new only cost £20 to am sure
  20. Is it just when pressing unlock/lock that the car doesn't respond therefor having to use the actual keyblade to open the car?
  21. Yeah still running the originals so £16 isn't bad thanks, ill check out VAG TPD too thank you both for your help
