  1. It was last serviced at 19,000 miles. Can I in theory get any garage to service it as long as manufacture spec parts and oil are used? It is a manual 2.0 150 bhp
  2. Hi all, its been a while since i posted. I’ve loved my S3 and have accumulated 40,000 miles. Ive now got a new car so this one is going back. I have to get it serviced first. I have just been quoted £339!!! I expect to pay a decent amount at a dealer but find this staggering for some oil and filters! Any reccomendations on independants near Huddersfield or Halifax that can log the service correctly on Skodas online system?
  3. I've had it in icy and snowy conditions
  4. I had a new screen fitted on Sunday. Cracked it yesterday right in the middle. ????
  5. Mine did it. Take it to the dealer, they just lubed mine with silicone grease. Quiet now
  6. No, the term has too much time remaining and all their employees are on the company car scheme, also they are already paying the lease on a vehicle for the role
  7. Yeah that's what we thought was going to happen but it's been rejected by finance. :(
  8. It's looking like I am going to be starting a new job at the end of Feb. I have my car on pcp, outstanding finance of £20,800 yet we buy any car values at £17,500. To voluntary terminate its over £7500. Any tips on how to minimise losses? I currently have 31 months left of my 42 month contract. The timing couldn't be worse I guess. I'll be gutted to see it go, especially as the company car is a sportage ewwwww...
  9. 21,000miles since 11th January 2016 Buzz from dash, very poor mpg when temps less than 10'c (yes, I expect less but I'm getting 45mpg from a 150diesel when I don't go over 75mph 95% motorway miles) Stupidly soft paint, covered in chips. My previous cars hardly had any. Headlights are also going cloudy(not mist from water ingress) Edges of Pegasus alloys become marked just from driving (not curb marks) Steering wheel doesn't reach quite far enough to be fully comfortable (I'm 6'3") These are all only minor niggles, I do like the car a lot!
  10. I may enquire about this as mine is clunky when changing gear, not a smooth shift like you'd expect for this amount of money.
  11. I did 74 miles at 67.4mpg. Halifax to Filey the other week. 3 of us with the car full to the brim with camping gear. I was amazed!!!
  12. My last car was a 2013 octy mk2 fl, 1.6 105ps diesel. The superb 150 feels far sharper with loads more grunt. Just not quick if that makes sense. I guess it's the extra torque.
  13. I use the auto Glym provided by the dealer and mine has marked. I'll see what they say.
  14. I have a 150 manual, usually carrying quite a bit of weight in the boot. The car is not quick but it is quick enough for normal driving. I think if I towed more often then i'd get the 190. I guess it all depends on where and how you drive/use the car.
  15. I have noticed, mine look a mess already, so many stone chips as well
  16. Cheers, thought I'd missed a trick. So if TSR adds a camera, it is quite cheap at £85ish?
  17. I have the SEL so I have xenons with light assist. I thought this was simply dipped beams on/off. If it also does the full beam, how is it enabled? I tried to read the manual but it is so unclear!
  18. My cv boots have been re greased as well. I only heard the noises on full lock. Seems to have been sorted
  19. I had exactly the same with mine. Almost as though it's programmed into the ECU. Also mpg suddenly rose. Maybe they run rich when new and running in? I'm no expert so probably rubbish.
