  1. Ill be very happy if it does 26 mpg only got 200 miles on the clock so havnt tested milage yet and think its uses about a ltr of oil every 1000 miles to The high revs takes a lot of getting used too managed to stall it at 30 mph a couple of times ,but when it hits 3,000 rpm it goes like mad upto 6,000 rpm and 9,000 rpm when its run in you have to be willing to change gear all the time to get the best out of it but its worth it for the noise of the exhausts ,it sounds like you have 2 sports bikes following you
  2. i have garmin nuvi 360t it has a speedo screen with analog speedo and saved top speed, overall average journey speed, moving average speed direction of travel and odometer with camera warnings and live travel updates its a very good unit and its the only sat nav ive found that works with the apple mac for updates online and custom poi and hands free bluetooth
  3. Lovely looking car ,i was going to buy one but got a great deal on a rx 8 . The only thing is i thought the plastics were a bit cheap on the dashboard .The rx 8 seems a bit more solid ,but with the discounts the mazdas are lots cheaper than the octy vrs
  4. Was tempted by a new vrs but got a demo late 57 reg rx8 with 50 miles on the clock from mazda for £14,995 with mica paint full leather and the 9 speaker bose cd system im sorry but as good as the vrs is i couldnt get a good deal on one i know about the oil and high fuel use but you only have to drive one upto 9500rpm and you want to own one what ever the cost
  5. I've just sold my 06 octavia vrs which i've had from new.I really loved the car and was thinking of a remap but couldnt make up my mind ,so decided to look about to see what offers are on and took out a 57 reg rx8 231ps with full leather after 20mins test drive and a few days to check over the figures i put down my deposit .I will be sad to see the vrs go but cant wait to pick up the rx 8 on mon . This forum has been loads of help and great fun it seems a lot better than the mazda versions .I'll still give a flash to other briskoda members . Hopefully skoda will tempt me back in the future
  6. Hi im arborist be careful if you think of doing anything to a tree even if you think you own it The courts have powers to fine anyone contravening a TPO. The maximum fines are £20,000 for destroying a tree and up to £2,500 for anyone who does not completely destroy a tree but has carried out some other works without consent. It is no defence for a defendant to plead that they were unaware that a TPO existed on a particular tree unless the Council were the cause of such ignorance. weve nearly be fined for making safe storm damage on our own land depending on the councils they can be very strict unless it suits them

  21. Im sure you could cut the original centre down or find something youd like Dont know why skoda dont do side vents
  22. just pull off the old one and the new bits more or less go straight in i just had a few probs with the grill being a bit big so cut a few edges off took a few seconds and fits very well now It looks like once you have the side scoops and grill surround you could cut any type of grill for the centre if you dont like the one supplied I live at the end of a long farm road so the new grill will stop lots of crap hitting the rads and i prefer the look with the new one fitted ,if i get bored with it ill just replace the grill pattern
