As per title really, I have a black vrs and I'm sick of the seats, I don't really want to change the back seats to some nice leathers because that's where my dog sits so just looking to swap the fronts, don't mind doing abit of swapping with seat frames and things like mentioned on other guides but fancy something like mk5 golf gti seats but open to any suggestions Thanks

  7. Rite my turbo popped the other day and I have been exploring the possibilities as what I should do about replacing it. It has had a replacement turbo at some point before I owned it because where the lower boost pipe connects to the turbo it doesn't have a push on connected and wire clip like its ment to have instead the rubber pipe just slides on and a jubilee over the top...strange. Any way could I get one of the 1749 CHRA cartridges off THEbay and put a 1749 cold side housing I have spare at home over it? Would this fit inside my kkk waste gate and what not in my standard manifold? Thanks very much if you all can shed some light on it
  8. Had a go today at swapping the turbo to the new one, and I soon realised why my old kkk was whining due to a corner of the cold side wheel being Brocken off. The new Garrett I have does look very similar however the hot side is a lot bigger and doesn't fit in the nozzle ring on the fabia manifold so the problem I have is can I swap the nozzle ring and waste gate from the bigger garret manifold from the zafira into the smaller fabia one or can u some how take the smaller hot side wheel from the kkk turbo and put it onto the Garrett one so it fits into the fabia manifold?? Hope this makes sense and hope some one can help
  9. I know the manifold won't fit I ment it as in I have the whole lot, sorry thats me not being very clear. Isn't it possible to just take my turbo and manifold off and just swap the Garrett item into my manifold because it does look very similar? I just thought it was worth ago because when you search for the stamps in the Garrett in Google it comes back as a gt1749v and I was sure that they fit. I will post a picture up later after I have got some better ones
  10. I have the complete lot turbo, manifold, actuator, Braided oil line, even the pipe that runs from the egr to the manifold. I have a couple of photos of the turbo because I split it to see what the condition was like inside, how do I post a photo?
  11. Hi, hope some one could help me out, I recently acquired a turbo from work and it seems to be in tip top condition. I'm hoping to fit it to my vrs as my standard kkk has 100k on it and is making the siren noise, I'm no expert with turbos and all the stamps they have on them so I will list the numbers lower down, the turbos from a 60 plate zafira 2.0 cdti 150bhp and my engines a asz of this helps at all. Garrett m53 .42 B858 55205483 766340-1 s/n ldv04771 r If I type some off these number into google it comes back as gt1749v if this helps at all Thanks
  12. Mine sounded like a siren but put a new map sensor on the other day and cleaned my egr out at the same and now it sounds like a supercharger, it's quite a guilty pleasure being in boost with the sound it makes however is know it cannot be healthy for it.
  13. Rite here we are again with the turbo problems! Last week was driving, came onto a round-a-bout in 3rd started to open throttle and there was no boost however the exhaust went Lauder, no leaking boost hissing noise or anything so I think it actuator had stuck open?? Was driving again today and same happened again but no boost in 1st, 2nd then only boosts in 3rd after about 2500rmp boosts fine in 4th, 5th and 6th but when it doesn't boost in 1st and 2nd like when your in traffic the brake pedal is really had like when you turn and engine off while the cars rolling and the pedal being hard then due to vacume for the servo. This car is really starting to do my head in now, is the turbo going? Why would the actuator stick? Why would this happen with the brakes if the cars running? Does the little box on the top left of the engine bay with all the vac pipes on have anything to do with all this? Please help Thanks matt
