Well my new engine is now run in and finally mapped up, cant believe how different it feels, the torque is awesome, need to get the 3sdms back on (had the standard vrs wheels on for the rollers) ive also got a black carpet on its way as im fed up of the grey one, and ive taken the towbar off as ive never been happy with the bosal one it looks naff, I need to find a westfalia one.

this is guna look awesome, have you got any pics of the 8.5s wi 5mm spacers? I wasn't sure what size to run..

I know its an old thread, but ive just searched US spec as wanted to see a US Octavia, i think it looks bob on mate, what light units did you use?

Another update, Stage 2 on its way nice big boxes from Forge 4 consisting of front mount cooler and hoses tip 008 valve, they all went on a treat, exhaust is on looking nice and lovely but need to add another silencer as its a little loud, all was going fine until it was on the rollers, BANG... head gasket went, originally thought it was the turbo but after taking that off and taking it the specialist who said it was perfect we started to investigate but in the mean time i came across an engine that had intergrated engineering forge rods, fancy head gasket, bigger wrist pins and some other bits, got a deal on that and put that in instead, so at the minute im running that in ready to remap, 100 miles of 500 done ha, will update asap

Im with Paul, having owned both Anniversary and Vrs, the anni was better in the twisties but i have an estate vrs so hatchback should be better, again build quality etc was better in the Anni but for the money and practcality the Vrs is aesome (hence my purchase) My Anni My Vrs

Quick update, the car is booked in for exhaust and stage 2 map on the 20th, need to fit my forge goodies before hand (i really hope they come in time) need to do my sai removal etc too. ill get rolling road pics up asap. couple of pics from big bang (santa pod) the other week

I fit the towbar on saturday (never buy bosal again) so i thought id try the t@b on the back last night, no scrubbing issues which is good couple of pics just need some 16" 3sdm's now

Ye there isnt mega stretch, it must be the 40 profile, tbh i didnt want to go mega stretch as ive no rim protectors at min, they are just some accelera's or somthing, got em part worn so i cud get them on b4 payday :-)
