  1. There is a blue 1.4 13 reg for sale at 'Patons' in Shifnal looks a nice vehicle.
  2. My towing eye was missing, I noticed after two years it was missing, so when the car went in for a service I said should I have one they said yes they would supply it, and they did. I think what happens when they check over a car on the PDI check and find it has the eye missing they take one from a showroom vehicle, then it has a knock on effect. When I used to be in the trade we used to do this with jacks and tool kits. but when we ordered a new kit for the showroom car it had been sold so we ended up the jack still in stores and forgot what car it was for..
  3. Try using a wedge cushion it will help you to sit correctly, it helps me.
  4. Thanks for the replies, Marbella does have a few hills. but I thought a 1.2 should get up them without using 1st. Mind you the previous car in the UK was 3 Ltr Merc. so that might be it.
  5. Hi help please. I have a friend in Spain who has bought a second hand 1.2 Mk1 Yeti, when I asked how is the car, she said she has to use first gear to get up hills, I told her to take it back to the garage as she has 1 months warranty left. Could it be the the Turbo not working ? CHILLEY
  6. I had the thing noise the other day looked everywhere for it, found it was my car 'iphone' lead which I keep in the center arm rest box. It sounded if it was coming from the near side rear door.
  7. My renewal was £246, last year £217, with Churchill. With two named drivers, my daughter 29 years old and my friend she is 64. they have been on the insurance since I bought the car on the 1st of Jan 2012. So the first premium in 2012 was £189.00 with legal cover and courtesy car of the same type inclusive. the legal cover and courtesy car are extra to the premium so you don't have to have them. Remember if you put an older driver on cover as well it brings the premium down.
  8. IMO for a start there is an oil leak, or is that water from the air con. It sounds as if the exhaust has blown and causing a rattle, in fact the engine sounds very noisy, it would not harm if you could get it on a lift and have a look with the engine running.
  9. Look at on 'Halfords' 'Nextbase' Which and Auto Express recommend them, I have one fitted, very good indeed. Chilly.
  10. I have had two sunroofs replaced in 4 years, with air con the sunroof had little use, so I would think twice before I ordered another Yeti with a sunroof, and it's only done 12600 miles. . Mind you I think a few mods have since been made to the frame to stop the water leaks. But I still love the car.
  11. Yes you must get the screen done under warranty, they might say get it replaced under your insurance. so say no, the warranty will cover it. I had my screen replaced no problems. I had a vertical strip of 2'' from top to bottom that would not clear.
  12. My 140 2012, 12500 miles = summer 35 to 38 mpg Local max 3 miles. stay in 4th. Long trips 38 to 48 mpg. Winter 33 to 35 mpg Local. Long trips about the same. (Long Trips MW and A roads) I have recorded mpg from the day I bought the Yeti. Staying in 4th gear on short trips helps the DPF as the engine warms up to working temp after a good 3 miles.

    New Year

A very Happy new year to you all and hoping your Yeti stays well.
  14. Can I be so rude and ask you who supplied them, as I am getting quotes for cross climates, mine are 17'' on a 140. Regards Chilley
  15. I had the same the problem a rattle from the dash and above the glove bow, so I took the car in at 500 miles. they found that it was the Air bag fixings were loose. Now my Yeti is 3 and half years old no more problems so far. I hope. and no rattles from the doors.
  16. I wonder if any Yeti's are there. Awful. From the Daily Mail.
  17. And yes. I had my badges done, but they say only a one of on warranty, so if it happens again I will have to pay. So I sealed them in with sealent seems to have done the trick, only the front bagde is showing signs of going again. (Old design)
  18. Have they named it yet. What about calling it the 'Bison' well it's just a thought.
  19. You should contact...Vice President Alison Jones FCCA CTA MCMI, She is the Group after sales and Customer Quality Director for the VW Group, for Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda. Just Google her name and have a look. You may have to go down this road. All the best.
  20. Man after my own heart. I don't know what I was thinking must my age, I have never had a garage do an oil change, mind you this it the first new vehicle I have ever bought, so I was being careful.
  21. Today I requested a price from my Skoda dealer for just a oil change and filter, 10255 miles, 3 years old, and the next service is programmed for December 2015, so as I do lot of short trips, and I am from the old school of thought, I do understand modern oils last a lot longer. but I feel waiting until next December more slug will build up in the sump due to short runs. ( bought the wrong model should have gone for petrol.) So the quote was for £121.50 for the oil change and filter, I think I will wait for the weather to warm up and get the spanners out and do it myself, its the under guard that takes the time to remove.
  22. I could not remove remove my right hand seat, took it to the garage and the fitter could not ether, then bingo we pushed the seat backwards then released the leaver and away it went, so the seat has to be in the starting position to release the seat, then undo the red clips, Just looked at my rear seat, if the grab hook is not placed over the locating boss and has been placed on the black bar with the arrows on it, then when the is seat is let down the red leavers will become bent, so might be the red leavers has been damaged.
  23. Try using a mild mix of washing up liquid, and poor over the windscreen, this penetrates better than just water, on an older car I would use a wee bit of anti-freeze with water, we did this in the trade and it worked showing up the smallest leak. Why anti-freeze, if anything anti-freeze would show up a leak anywhere. Which leads me to think, do you get the leak when you use the windscreen washers. I don't like the 'v' type seal above the windscreen I always clean it out with a soft brush, a lot of dirt runs into this channel. just for info.

    Tyre wear

My NSF has worn down more than the OSF, as I do take it easy, but driving through Telford you can't miss the roundabouts. So on outside rim NSF 3.mm and OSF 4.mm. 10123 miles so far. 38 months old. Rears both at 5mm.
