  1. The Polestar indeed! It's the 2.4 5 cylinder diesel (so sounds rather tasty for a diesel), but with the remap so instead of 180bhp it's 205bhp
  2. Ahoy. (ALL PICS ATTACHED. Can send more if needed.) I'm having to reluctantly sell my 2009 C30 D5. I'm changing jobs and no longer have the need for a personal car. Here's all the details, can add more on request: - Polestar remap (worth £600) paperwork to prove. Still easily achieves 45-50mpg on average and more on motorway runs! So you get the best of both worlds. - One previous owner from new. Full Volvo service history. - 98,000 miles. - Bi-Xenons - No scratches or dents. Only ever hand washed & waxed by myself. - Top of the range Dolby premium sound system. MP3 & Aux input. £7000 Open to offers (Within reason!)
  3. Absolutely adore the look of it! I can imagine in person it'll look epic. Only thing I'm concerned about it, will the ride be brutal and unforgiving and VTech engines are quite tedious after a while. I prefer the look of the Type R to the Audi S1, but for similar money and performance I'd still rather have an S1. :/
  4. Worrying thing is I've genuinely seen people on FB that think this Al Murray video is legit. Here's a quote for your viewing pleasure (kept all typos in, looked at previous post and definitely not a troll, just 'special'): "Gd im glad that somone is actually lookign out 4 britaon and the biritsh people. viva ukip and viva farage the new dawn is coming makr my words." Yes, well the thing is, if I 'marked your words' it'd probably be an F. When will people learn that Farage is just a jumped up Thatcher loving ex-stockbrocker with a dark agenda to send us back to the good ol' 1950's.
  5. Damn, super cheap! Way cheaper than what I expect. I may have to consider one in the near future....
  6. Really liking this new Polo gotta say. The Manual box seals the deal in my eyes!
  7. I think tattoos on some men and women works and looks awesome. Although can't stand skinny little chav morons with tribal tattoos (sorry, the only tribe you're in is the **** tribe), or women with tacky as hell biro mark tattoos of 'stars' on their body. I've debated getting one once, it wasn't tacky but was incredibly nerdy (from the game Bioshock). Then I snapped out of it and realised there's actually nothing I want so bad that I want it etched into my skin forever. So yeh, some are awesome to look at, but most of the time a bit pointless.
  8. Would've loved to have seen Jo Pavey pick up the award, she was most deserving in my eyes & I'm an F1 fan. I respect Hamilton's skill, but his transformation into a spoilt brat that speaks with a false American twang, thanks Jebus every 5 seconds, tries to be 'gangster', & is always quick to blame his team...Well there's not much to like! Also, anyone that puts a diamond chain round their dogs neck needs a slap.
  9. Love a bit of Star Wars Lego, the death star is definitely on my wish list! Check out this guy though, the engine detail is just unreal.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/
  10. Can't wait to see some sort of comparison between the S1 and the Polo R...preferably when the R has a proper gearbox in it (if ever) :p
  11. Lucky man, look forward to hearing more about them! Only thing that 'erks me about the Polo R is that there's no manual option :/ Chuffed to hear with the new Polo GTI it WILL have a manual option, so hopefully the R will follow suit. I just find auto's so soulless, especially in hot hatches. I know this is personal preference.
  12. I'll sit tight until they release the Golf R 400 please! *Drools* Or better yet the Polo R!
  13. I certainly prefer the look of the R over the GTI, although I've read a few reviews and many say the difference in price isn't justifiable and you may as well just get the GTI. I've never driven either so can't say, but it does make me wonder..isn't the GTI just as good?
  14. I might be able to afford one in 5 years time! :P After it's been ragged to hell.
  15. 306 GTI or Rallye is quite appealing too. Although I know someone that's owned both and the electrics have failed epically as per usual with most things French. Quite amusing when the car horn starts to die though, just ends up sounding like a toy with its batteries going flat.
  16. Downside of the Clio being, it's French :p
  17. Amen! Another one I'd recommend would be the Seat Cupra MK3 20vt Ibiza. I owned one for over a year and bloody loved it, not many about but if you find a goody go for it. They're around 1-2,500k so well within budget. Can be easily remapped to 200bhp, mine was and went like a fast thing. (Incase you don't know what they look like) - http://s382.photobucket.com/user/rhydianjones/media/3.jpg.html
  18. Yeh cream is a tad odd. Very rare to find such an unabused example I've got to say!
  19. http://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-200sx/1091668507 A bit above your price range but an example of what can be had
  20. Have you ever considered a Nissan Silvia 200sx? They look pretty mean and good get a good one for around your price range!
  21. Speaking of schemers and chavs, the only people I've seen in the new Fiesta ST have been lads that look barely over 17 and chavs. Don't want to be that person, but that immediately put me off it. Plus it looks like a fish with its mouth gaping open. On the flip side the people I've seen interested in the S1 appear to be people looking for a fun run about as a second car, middle aged men that want an 'entry level Audi' (hah), or as you say young professionals earning a decent whack.
  22. I might be biased, but if you're after a compact car get a Volvo C30 T5 (petrol) or D5. Never driven anything like it before, and it comes with a **** tonne of extras! If you don't like them however, I'd probably suggest a Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R Completely impractical, vaguely compact and pretty rare.
