Hi! I am facing 2 problems at a time with my Fabia 1.4 2008 Model ( India) 1. The Cabin lock and unlock switch ( near gear knob) is not working ( it stopped working after some symptoms of slow locking and unlocking). while i can lock and unlock from the key 2. The passenger side door glass down with switch, but do not went up back (while I can roll up with driver side control. I have changed the switch also, but the same result. Pls. help if i can fix it myself. Thanks!!!!

Hello Estate Man, Thanks for your quick reply and sorry for me to late... I could notice that Car run very fine with Petrol and no drop in RPM in any case. But its only in CNG, RPM drops during coolant fan on. Also during morning time, ignition takes very longer time, start with missing voice and jerks, ECM light gets on. Goes off after few KM, is it related to this problem. I have reset the VAG engine idle, but the same result. Do you have any guess based on this.

Hi! Friends, I wish all a very happy new year. I am using Fabia 2008 1.4 Manual version. I have also Fitted CNG sequential Kit. My problem is that Car run fine on both Fuel i.e. Pertol and CNG both, but during the time Radiator Fan run, RPN down till 300 or sometime dead when I press clutch to shift gear. Few time back my Radiator fan also burnt and I got it changed, but the problem is still there. So no fan fault I guess. Pls. help me to know the possible reason and if I can check to diagnose this. Hi! Briskodian Thank you for your reply, however it is really hard to handle a locked door to access the locking mechanism. Skoda Authorised centre has quoted a heavy amount and asked to break the locking system and replaced with a new one. But luckily I caught in right hand and found a mechanic who only repair centre locking in New Delhi- India. He punched 5-6 times at door opening handle and the door got unlocked...And finally he replaced the faulty motor with a new one easily...!!! and in 10% of the cost of Skoda offered. I can open and close it easily now... :)

Hi briskodian, I have the same problem! The passenger door is locked and not responding with centre locking as well. From your detailed post i can repair it... But only if it unlock for once...it is totally locked and i cant open trimming. Pls guide how to handle with the situation I am using Fabia 1.4 16v 2008model. Thanks in advance...

Hi! Thanks for your warm welcome, i am glade for your advice. Yes, it is Automatic Transmission. Let me be more in detail, the ideal RPM shown on meter is 750. When AC is ON : During sudden breaks or clutch pressing in slow speeds, RPM goes down to 200-300 and then comes up to Idle, sometimes the engine stops due to fall in RPM When AC is off During sudden breaks or clutch pressing in slow speeds, RPM goes down to 500-400 and then comes up to Idle, it don't stops engine normally. I remember, i have not changed or disconnected battery from a long time. But one thing i should share that i have got installed a CNG ( Compressed Natural Gas) kit because it is a cheaper fuel in India ( may be CNG installation guys has disconnected that) The problem is with both the Fuels. Hi!, I have Fabia 1.6, 2008. I am facing a problem from few days. While i stop car or slow it during traffic, RPM drops fast, goes down first and then come up to normal, cuase sometime dead, its stops engine completely and i need to resart car again. This is very frequent when AC is on. I have done Throttal body and injestors clean, no error found, no warning lights are on...What could be the problem. Thanks for the help in advance.

I was also having same problem, When i get this checked and found problem with heater, coil was damaged causing burning coolant and passing smell through vents. I am not sure with your car as it is very new, and less possibility to damage heater coil, still prefer to get this checked... :think:

I want to attached LED Scuff Plates to all 4 doors, I have Fabia 1.6, this post certainly help me to do this but, My question is, do we have access of the wires ( Similar or same) of Dome light at the door sill. I mean do we have any way i can attach all 4 plates wihtout going with a long wire from back door sill to Dome Light?

Hi! Zach, I got them from Ebay in INR 1000 approx( GBP 12.50)I saw these lights at my friends Fabia, they looks awsome...

I am Driving 2008 Fabia 1.6 with sunroof, I just purchased LED sill plates for all 4 doors. Is it possible to install them without any paid services :p , i mean can i do it myself. Is is possible to give some information about wiring.
