  1. very funny, on your satnav you probably wouldn't notice, there is a lot folks from overseas, and yes, my new superb has steering wheel on wrong side ;-)
  2. with such annual mileage I won't be bothered, my was 1l every 700 mls (If I'm lucky), drove almost 30 000, with no changes (in case of oil consumption).
  3. I was told to follow manual, which said, next service @ 10K miles, mine done 3,3K so far. I'm on 1.8TSI, despite my bitter experience with second gen. 1.8 tsi .
  4. Skoda superb Style+ 1.8TSI, DSG. in Cappuccino Beige metallic.
  5. Lucky You, I've missed 6 months period (its important to know trading standards and your rights), now only court or repair left. I've located local garage for total rebuilt, they said done a lot of 2.0, and not much 1.8 engines. price ca 1800£, + engine delivery needed (this cost ca 300£). New engine -VW - 3600£. quoted by Dolby garage.
  6. Can you tell more? What you going to do next? I'm in similar situation, skoda dealer trying to convince me its more less ok(?!) where can I get proper engine or proper engine fix?!
  7. I've just realised - slower you go, less oil burns, so its easy to hit even 50MPG:-) @ 60mph. but overall long term average (ca 9000 miles) maxidot shows 36,8MPG.
  8. Very funny, actually on my table offer for: Škoda Superb Combi Style 1.8 TSI / 132 kW (180 AG) DSG. I double checked- true, there is no such option on UK market. Sorry for bothering you.
  9. Is anybody driving subj. more powerfull engine, means more issues with gearbox, or gearbox updated after engine?!
  10. Done, some issues with un-folding (windows goes down first), but I'm working on it now (reading manual)
  11. Is anybody knows how this feature works? Just found in option list: electrically folding door mirrors (after locking of car)
  12. location, and what about oil consumption?
  13. Me as well, from 2.0tfsi down to 1.8tsi, which is surprisingly mighty, but I'm starting to miss vrs more and more every day.
  14. my brother in low has 2010 1.8tsi+DSG in Germany (90K miles on the clock), engine just blew off (dealer advised replacement for modest 5000 Eur sum), repair cost ca 2000 eur. My is from Warrington, 70K miles on the clock, and with 0,5L of oil just done 400 miles. Friend of my has same engine in 2007 year car, says runs on 1l oil per 1000 mile (Bickerton said its absolute normal). I was thinking the same, after reading on internet loads of complaints, cant be all the engines so bad, f*&^k I wasn't right :-)
  15. Well, a testdrive should say everything. 1.8tsi its problematic itself, and with dsg7 its ubeatable bag of troubles. Relay on mileage can be seen, how quick issues will come on. 170tdi with dsg6 will be more reliable, just heard complaints about dsg algorithm- 40mph and already on 6th gear!!
