  1. The tyres on the new car are Hankook Kinergy Eco.
  2. My Citigo had the same tyres when I picked it up two years ago. The fronts did 16000 miles and the rears are stil on the car at 19600. I'll tell you what they are shipping now when I have a look at my new pre-pdi Citigo SE this afternoon.
  3. The Smart changes down automatically even in non-fully automatic mode so I only need to change up. I wasn't able to check whether the Up/Citigo was the same - or does the box remain in high gear if one doesn't manually drop it down when stitched to manual gear changing? Can any owner advise please? There don't seem to be paddle options on any of the ranges. Hi Brian, Yes the ASG box will change down when in manual mode. As many manual owners have stated the ASG will never be as good as DSG but it is a lot better since the recall for a new transmission ECU. I have had my Citigo ASG for two years and 19000 miles. Is it as good as a manual, probably not, but is any auto? Do I like mine? Hell yes. It has been great fun to own and drive. I think of it as a manual that changes gear for you. I have another one on order only difference this time is that it will be red. Regards, Mark
  4. I'm sorry Emil but you are mistaken. The clutch release bearing sits between the clutch fork and the clutch diaphragm. This allows the clutch to spin and the clutch fork to remain stationary. Clutch release bearings tend to get noisy with the clutch disengaged due to the bearing not being under pressure and starting to rattle. It goes quiet when you press the clutch pedal as the slack in the bearing and clutch components is taken up. This is what the dealer was trying to explain. Regards, Mark
  5. Hi Cal, I have a 13 plate white SE ASG that is coming up to two years old and 19000 trouble free miles and its replacement on order. Another SE ASG this time in red expected late April. When driving the ASG I think it is best to imagine it as a manual that changes gear for you, more semi than full auto. It does take a while to get used to but I enjoy it. My last car was an auto MG ZTT, the Citigo is much more economical and lots more fun.
  6. Ialso have the answer problem. What is the name of the dealer that fixed your problem. It may help my dealer to talk to your dealer if they have trouble fixing my car.
  7. Hi BossFox, I hope you dont mind me asking a question. Do you know a way of getting two twenty amp cables from the battery to the boot without drilling holes and not going under the car. Although going under the car is preferable to drilling holes. Cheers, Mark Citigo SE ASG.
  8. When I recently test drove the citigo I noticed that the clutch bit point was quite close to the floor. I have a bit of a dodgy left leg after a motorcycle accident many years ago so the bite point is important to me. If the bite point is quite close to the floor and thick floor mats are used could they not take up some of the play of the clutch pedal and cause problems selecting first and reverse. This used to happen to my in an old 1275gt mini I used to have before my bike accident. Good luck sorting this out.
