I best check out the other half's as hers can be heard but no water coming out. She hasn't let me know of water showing inside but she's not likely to! We've had the car for around 14 months and its never worked but would be good to get this working.

Wow, what a change that is! I do see the logic to it though. I have always found what i need here on Briskoda so wont close my account, particularly as there is still a MKii Octy in the family but also just for the general helpful advice and giggles! This isn't a full on goodbye as my other half still has a MK2 Octavia but I am no longer a Skoda owner.... I have recently acquired a brand new E-Class estate and enjoying it so far! I am just wondering if people could steer me in an equally useful direction to a Mercedes owners forum as Briskoda has been for me here?

I'd very much agree with this. I have had a few 'spirited' times I've pulled away from the lights in varying degrees of dry to damp and absolutely no issues whatsoever.

I did but cant remember now after nearly 4 years! Just reminds me to use plastic tipped tools in future.

Good afternoon all, looking for a second Skoda for the other half tomorrow and found a lovely 2009 MKii, 1.4 TFSi with 45000 honest miles, no advisories on MOT's etc. Is there anything i should pay particular attention to when viewing and test driving the vehicle?

I too had this but now fixed through the delete and re-pair but i have lost the 'Text Message' section along the bottom of the Phone screen. Any ideas?

Having updated the Columbia head unit a few weeks ago, it has started to ask for a PIN, I presumed this is for my phones to connect? having put in my passcode for the phone, the screen just hangs with a ‘please wait’ at the top and the only way I can then use the unit is to turn it off and back on again. Any ideas?

I'll will also be trying this out tonight as i have just grabbed the spare key and that appears to be completely flat. Off to France on Sunday so i thought it would be a good idea to take the spare, just hope the new battery will sort it out!

This is the second time I’ve had the wing mirror indicator lens broken due to a stone smashing through it!! I assume this is just pure bad luck I’ve had this twice in the last year or so now or are these prone to damage?

I have changed mine before with no issues but maybe there is another link/sync issue... How long was the battery out of the key?

I am liking the sound of this!! I’m currently getting around 20-25k from a set of Asy 3’s with rotating half way through so this sounds good. Thanks guys.

Call another garage for a second opinion and compare what they both are saying.

Likewise, gone through my carpet mat on the drivers side but the car has now cover over 68k miles!

Just searched this as mine seems to be using more than ever before; I am now topping up a regular 500ml every month (as I have to carry out certain monthly checks as its a company car). I would say roughly I cover in the order of 1600-1800 miles a month, some maybe more. The car is now just under 65k and until last year, I don't think I ever topped it up between servicing (every 10k). By the sound of it, this amount isn't uncommon, just lucky I hadn't had to do it before last year?
