Looking at a set of alloys local to me.
stedee replied to Blanco's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
offset will be wrong to,they will be sunk in really badly so will need pretty big spacers -
dont drop it anymore, perfect as it is

better pics to follow, this one was after the tyres were fitted so dirty. they have been freshly powdercoated in a dark grey with a subtle silver flake. the only marks on them are on the inside from the tyre fitting machine. tyres are pirelli`s , 2 are very good, 1 is good, the other is borderline. the offset must be lower than the standard alloys for a fabia 1 because the wheels seem to fit better as in not sunk in, they are closer to the wing. presume they will fit octy`s aswell. only asking £300 steve

oh the trials of car insurance. ive got a 400hp scooby, endless list of mods protected no claims , costs me 550, the same company wanted 750 for a standard fabia vrs. in the end after alot , and i mean alot of sniffing around i got them both insured for 1050. the explanations i was getting really p***ed me off. ie "because it was my everyday car i would be more likely to crash it" but i thought the risk was evaluated through my ncb not which car i chose to drive. basically how the insurance see it is you could have 20 years ncb but as soon as you step into a corsa you will crash.....

feel the glass, after a drive , it`ll be warm if heated -
a deeper red would have looked better, usually red goes well with black but have to admit they dont look too good in that pic

same boat for me kinda. i bought bf3 after seeing the demos but it was poor on xbox, too glitchy and not smooth, used to give me a headache. sold it after a week - what a diappointment i `m getting bored with the cod series tbh but they play well and you can play tactically if you wish especially in a clan, not me btw.

i have respect for her and so did the rest of the world, they were **** scared of her not like now , she had a presence. i liked how she just did what she thought was right and stuck with it rather than dithering and doing what causes less offence in all quarters. i think alot of her decisions were right in the end, not popular and pretty ****ty if you were a miner, but it was going to happen anyway she had BALLS, yes a politician with balls.

it all about the lacquer, unfortunately the best stuff is 2k lacquer out of a gun, goes on lovely and is really thick. the stuff out of a can tends to be really thin in my experience. ive done loads in the past but cant be arsed these days, i would just get them powdercoated

pushing it slightly lol, i`m going to to it on friday with the clutch , oh what fun, i knew about the clutch though so was expecting that. but it does make you wonder about service history if they havent done the cambelt
-
bought the missus a 1.4 tdi fabia, on an 04 plate 115k its been serviced every 10k but no mention of a cambelt change anywhere. obviously i am going to have to do one but would it really have not had the cambelt done after all these miles cheers steve

ive never had it happen before lol. if it was a steep hill yeah i would have put in in gear

went to a pub today (i didnt drink btw) parked up on a slight hill. went away for 10 minutes car had, rolled into a mini cooper. a friend of mine was there and tried to stop it, didnt roll far but far enough to have put a scratch on the minis bumper and knock the plastic out around the fog light. the owner was there lol. came back to find this, the handbrake was pulled up but i could of pulled it further but i`m sure when i put it on originally it felt tighter than when i went back to it and reapplied it. a guy in a bora who was there said he had a similar problem with the brakes expanding with heat and then cooling and contracting hence rolling forward. btw it took 5 minutes before it rolled. has this happened to anyone else btw or am i special lol

"it overheats because of the power on a standard body" What are you on about? It overheats because you've got a coolant problem which may be just a leak or something more serious. No offenses but from your description car sounds like a nail

white smoke between 1500-2000 revs
stedee replied to joe_vrs_tdi's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
white smoke can be oil, hot but not burnt as in leaking down the Exhaust, can be a sign of knackered turbo seals. Note. I know petrol turbos well but know fa about diesels -

stedee replied to Big Mikey's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
the octy must be boring if you think the furby has got character. its a great all rounder and i do like mine but character it aint got -
look alright to me , i will be happy with that height when i get my lowered suspension set.
