  1. The golf r estate is a little bit out of my price range. I'm still not sure whether to go for a manual or DSG
  2. Only getting about 32 mpg around the town in the dirty diesel. I really fancy a Golf R but they don't have the boot space I need. The other option is the Seat Cupra 280 tourer but I don't think the interior is as nice as the vrs
  3. What is the difference the between the Columbus and the canton?
  4. Hi, I'm thinking about changing my 57 plate diesel vrs for a newer petrol one. What should I be looking out for in terms of extra spec. Also does the DSG gearbox give much trouble? Thanks Ian
  5. I've got the same problem, tried to have my rear camber adjusted at the weekend and one side adjusted fine but the other would come down towards the spec so far and then suddenly jump miles out. The guy who was doing it was actually from hunter and he was a bit baffled. We came to the conclusion that the eccentric bolt/bush had failed some how.
  6. Hi guys, went to have my car laser aligned yesterday. Both rear cambers were out, the drivers side was adjusted back down to -1.17. When they came to adjust the passenger side it would adjust, it was at -1.53 before and as he adjusted it down it suddenly jump the opposite way to -3.00!! The guy adjusting it was the hunter hawk eye rep so he should know what he's doing. He tried it a couple of times more and every time it came down to around -1.50 it was suddenly jump back up to around -2 to -3. Something seems to have gone wrong with the eccentric bolt or bush. Anybody else had this issue????
  7. Again today started the car and started fine just with lumpy tick over which I can live with. Maybe it's sorted itself, put I think not
  8. Hi silver, yes I had already read your other thread. I'm not sure when the injector recall was done but it's wasn't this year. It started fine when I bought it and until the EML came on. Like you say it's really annoying
  9. Came to start the car this morning expecting the normal prolonged cranking but no. She fired up straight away, still had the lumpy tick over. Then I came to start it just after it had been parked all day and prolonged cranking was back. It has got to be a dodgy sensor give duff info to the ecu about injection timing and air to fuel mix. I've read plenty of posts from people with similar symptoms but never a cure
  10. Mine runs lumpy after being driven. Started from cold tonight drove 3min round the corner and pulled up and it was really lumpy.
  11. Noticed the lump tick over is worse the colder it is. Could this be the DMF?
  12. Checked the gsf website and it states that ngk 9835 plugs should be fitted. Just checked the parts invoice and it just says part number 9835 glow plug. When I get chance I'm going to whip the rocker cover off and have look
  13. Right had vcds scan done and no faults were found. I can't seem to escape the fact that everything was fine even with EML light on. And the problem has only started after the new plugs have been fitted. Are coolant temp sensors expensive? And how easy to fit?
  14. Thanks for the reply's the car had been stood for 2 days and took an age to start this morning, the worst it's been so far and it wasn't even a cold morning. A kind briskoda member it putting vcds on tomorrow. The car won't be cold but hopefully will have logged something that might shed some light on the situation
