  1. Jesus metty92 just buy some bulbs already! Stop dragging it out, just choose what you think you want and try it. Everyones photos will be different, everyones opinions will be different. 4300k is less blue than 5000k and probably more like an OEM projector light across all brands. If you want OEMish... Go 4300k. If you want a bluer tinge... Go 5000k. Simple!
  2. Hello all, been on here a few months now and have never put any pics up! Not usually like me as I'm a bit of a whore on other forums, but I've literally done naff all mod wise to the Fabia so haven't really felt the need to put any pics up! Picked it up in April and it's a wonderful little motor, I'm usually a Japanese car fan but the big Fabia has certainly impressed me greatly! Anyway, enough chattering... Here is some pics of my 55 plate VRS - Plans are (if I keep it... considering making a drastic change soon to something a bit more antisocial and 4WD ) to lower it on some Bilstein shocks and springs, spacers for the rear wheels... nothing too big; 10mm maximum and the usual Cupra splitter unless I can think of something more creative! I don't plan on mapping it as I've heard too many horror stories of clutches, turbos and flywheels ****ting themselves so I don't want to threaten the impeccable reliability I've received so far. And after going for a drive with a mate of mine who has just bought a black 05 plate VRS running 170bhp... There wasn't a massive amount in it so I think it's plenty quick enough as it is for now! Original plate on mine is DG55 XOD... Don't know if it was a forum car before my ownership? What you guys reckon to it then?
  3. Trust me, it won't look anything like the Mazda once built.
  4. History wise it's got no service book however I've got a couple or receipts and gotten lucky as it was serviced for most of it's life at one dealer so I emailled them and they have sent me a copy of what work they did and when, so really it's good I'd say good but part service history. And before anyone else PMs me, no I will not sell the seats seperately
  5. Mods, I'm not trying to sell my car with this thread at all in the slightest! Just want to get people's genuine opinions on what my car is worth as I am merely contemplating putting it up for sale around christmas time 55 plate Silver 105k Belts and waterpump done at 71k in Nov 2009 (guess they need doing again?) Completely stock aside from the wheels being powdercoated gloss black Very tidy for the age Full black leather interior A/C Would come with 6 months tax and 12 months MOT. Anyone have an idea of what it would be worth? The market seems so varied, and I can't put my finger on how much more the leather would bring the price up? My guestimate would be around £3600?
  6. I went from an EP3 to the Fabia and I do miss it a lot! Awesome motors, the handling is supreme and the whole "you have to work it hard" thing comes naturally once you've owned it for a few days. I've been big on my Honda's anyway so it wasn't anything new to me, but the engines are designed and built to be revved high and hard so just enjoy it! To the OP, is it really Y reg? I'm certain the very very first ones were 51 plate, dont think I've ever seen a Y reg one on the roads either. 67k and A/C is good mileage and rare on early ones so I'm surprised the dealer is offering peanuts for it!!
  7. I'm eager to see them fitted too... That red VRS shown isn't really a good example in my eyes as its on smaller wheels (I think!)
  8. Gumtree is just as bad, some people when it comes to selling cars offend me beyond belief!! And who the **** spells 'anybody' like that!!!
  9. The drop on those AP springs is perfect for me! I'll be buying a set next month I think to replace my 100k tired items!
  10. Refurbing my OEM 16s and the Spiders have 205/50 tyres so it rubs like mad on the passenger rear, so my only option to get by for this week whilst the 16s are at the powder coaters is to run the 16" spare steelie instead. The other three corners dont rub at all and obviously I have no further wheels to use so it's just got the one 16" on the passenger rear and the rest are all 17" spiders
  11. Sounds like a very similar issue to what I'm having, did you ever resolve it?
  12. PS Probably help if I say what model lol... 55 plate VRS with 98k on the clock
  13. Okay, new issue on the Fabia... Driving along minding my own business, all of a sudden the dash lit up with - - ASR - ABS - ( ! ) - PAS light Lost power steering and the brake servo, and also had no speedo... Just dropped to zero?! I've been looking around on here and other sites, it seems my problem could be : - Front left ABS sensor - Dirty ABS rings - Broken VSS thing on back of gearbox - Split in loom - Cream crackered ABS control module or ECU (I hope not!) Has anyone else had similar issues? If I turn the car off then on most lights go off but as I continued driving I also had the following light up as well! - - EML - SRS - Fuel gauge going crazy My main question is, could my issues be caused by the fact I currently have 3 Octavia Spiders (17") on my car and the passenger rear is the steelie spare wheel? Could the one smaller wheel be confusing the car? Also, my reverse lights currently dont work, presumably due to the sensor on the gearbox that commonly goes. Is that the same sensor that people have had issues with for the speedo or are they different? I havent plugged it in or anything yet, as the fault has only been present since last night and this morning. Any help with this would be great, all suggestions welcome!
