I'm pretty sure you can buy a complete coil pack loom. They are prone to breaking down due to the heat.

The symptoms in the original post doesn't suggest a lack of vacuum in the servo. If it was a vacuum/servo fault, the initial press of the pedal would be harder than usual, and it wouldn't feel like a 2 stage activation of the brakes

Sounds like you've got pads/caliper slides/caliper piston partially seized. I would guess the front brakes, as they account for around 75% of the braking.

If I have a night off from the gym, I'll pop over and bring my VCDS with me.

What's the turn out on these meets these days? Been about a year since I last turned up. Might pop over tomorrow

I can't see a time allocated schedule working personally. It was hard enough trying to stick to a list last time. What's the plan if someone misses their slot? I also think we should add registration numbers to our info on the list. Would make it easier on the day to find the next car etc
