would it be better to put poly type bushes on insted of standard ones then? and thanks guys for your advice

i have had my drivers side wishbone replaced 3 times in last year , due to a cracking/stretching noise , when i pull away , brake or go over a speed bump , the last one had a good bit of play in it , the new one , well its now worse than ever , the handling is fine , its just this noise , driving me crazy , any ideas ?

guys i have a faulty lambda sensor ,fault says 1 bank 1 sensor ,does anyone know if its the two lead one or the 4 lead one ,i know its the one on the downpipe and not on cat ,but cannot get car on ramps to check properly:thumbup:

it was replaced 11 months ago ,oil pump failure,it was a refurbished engine from skoda ,so everything was brand new, it has done 15,000 miles from change ,new clutch fitted 3,000 miles ago ,not that is relevant,it has all the power u would expect its a standard 180 bhp

somebody did mention that to me ,is it a big job?

does not use water at all has used 6 ltrs of oil in a year 15,000 miles thanks martin

no,stopped for ages but started again today worse than before ,stops when i start moving ,but still a bit worrying

guys getting some white smoke when i have been idleing at lights ect then pull away lasts for about 10 secs then dissappears ,any ideas?:confused:

my abrex scource tells me they are still doing it ,but all new releases seem to be delayed by about 3 months also they tend to release on mainland europe about 2 months before we see them in uk

sorry steve ,never found that out ,unfortunately, might not be it mate but please dont chance it

beware..could be oil pump i drove 175 miles after mine came on ,aa told me was not oil pump as it would just go and was either oil pressure switch or the diode in behind the dash ,which apparently is a common fault , £3,700 later i can guarantee u it was the oil pump,do not drive another mile mate without getting it checked out ,i'm not trying to scare you but please don't take the chance.

this is good advice ,hopefully it will get him into gear and stop you from having to make yourself bankrupt ..good luck

why not try to import a skoda praktik? ,lol . transit connects are good ,but very thirsty on fuel, i would go for a renault kangoo, nice and comfy,practical too

the mark 1 is being re introduced and remodelled in 2010 ,with new engines ect ,skoda have announced recently ,they are saying it will be their world car

could be top strutt bearing ,mines has just gone too. its like a pop,ok when driving straight though

had same problem ,changed flywheel and clutch ,turns out flywheel was ok ,but octy vrs's are supposed to be bad for flywheel,so changed it from dual mass to solid

i have been told remap on own would get 220 bhp,is that accurite? if not what is the figure?

are pipercross air filters any good,?will it give me anything extra bhp wise ?
