  1. Thanks all for the replies. I went for 225 50 R17 which are nice and comfy(a lot less rougher than the 40 r18 on those nasty roads).
  2. Hey guys, Just a quick one for me. I am currently in Europe with the car and am planning to switch my 18 inches to 17 for the winter because some roads have poor quality during winter over here. Was wondering if anyone could tell me if some 215 60 R17 tyres would fit on the car on 17 inch rims, obviously, without creating problems (like touching stuff inside the arch or whatever can happen). The other safe choice would be 225 50 R17 or 225 55 R17, but because of poor road quality, a 60 "balloon" would offer me better comfort over rougher portions. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers, Andre
  3. Had the same issue, went to Skoda`s, they did a fix on the air intake pipe, cruising silently now, whoever has this problem, that is probably your best bet. The other vibration noise only hearable when the hood is up is from the high pressure injectors. All the cars have this from new, the Skoda techy demoed this to me today when fixing mine. So go to Skoda, they will fix it either under warranty, or if you have extended warranty they will not consider it, but it only costs £40 to fix it anyway, so worth it!
