  1. Help needed!!!! Changing my front pads and disks on an 06 fabia vrs, confused on whether to go vented drilled both or standard? What brands are good, places to buy from? Don't want anything special but slightly stronger than standard would be good?.. Help?!?!?! Many thanks Alex
  2. Yeah 06 plate, what do you recommend? Alex
  3. Little bit of assistance needed on choice of oil. Think the tappets may need doing as making the infamous ticking sound so first port of call topping up oil.. I realise the oil needs to meet the vw spec but any suggestions for decent oil at a reasonable price.. there's so many to choose from dunno where to start. Cheers, Alex
  4. Recently noticed a ticking / tapping noise coming from under the bonnet. It happens when idle and moving but more noticeable when driving and lift off the power. It becomes a lot less prominent when u put the clutch in but still faintly there. It appears to be coming from either centrally or driver side of under the bonnet of my fabia vrs 06 plate. I have noticed no difference to power. I have read the different posts on what are similar issues but cant find an answer.. anyone help?? Cheers
  5. Anyone have any ideas on where I can buy these consoles from for an 06fabia vrs , I can't find any cheaper than £100 quid each side!! Any ideas, please? Even second hand from a breaker if people would recommend. Thanks
  6. Ill contact the garage but think this is what I'll be looking for. And your right with the fact about the bolt seizing up, think he mentioned this.... Cheers for all the replies though, much help!!!
  7. They've always been very good but second opinion is probably the best shout
  8. Burton on Trent, near derby if that helps, I've found 2x lower wishbones including ball joints and bolts, would that be the part needed if it was the housing I needed?
  9. Hi all, I'm new to posting to this forum but have used the info on it for a while. Basically, rear bushes went on front wishbone, common issue I gather, took to a garage and they said they couldn't get the bushes out without possibly breaking or causing more problems, due to over tightened or possible corrosion, he is suggesting I need new housing as well as bushes and bolts as removing the old ones will almost certainly break certain components. He quoted £310 I have an 06 fabia vrs 65000 miles, is this common? Am I being done over or is this reasonable? Look forward to hearing your responses.. Alex
