Linked to ACC radar.- Golf R brakes fit on Karoq Sportline?
Yes, 340/310 brakes are direct bolt on. The only challenging part is rear dust-cover on 2WD cars. I have this topic partially covered here -- Karoq pictures
Front emblem needs to be black as well. Like in Montecarlo edition- Sportline 2.0TSI 190PS Race Blue
Racing Blue is great!- Karoq Performance Brakes
Finally got time to install everything. Here is the result. Sorry , car is not clean yet. Clearance between wheel and caliper is good huge. Unfortunately there are only two offsets - 35 and 48mm. Mine set is 35 , and I am afraid that 48mm might not work without spacer. Just not to do double work , I did install short-shifter today as well. Brakes, even not bedded, working great. Short-shifter allows me to shift gears with fingers only , without need to move arm from armrest.- Karoq Performance Brakes
This project came to the final stage. Tested callipers with ET45 wheels I have and failed. So I decided to put brand new Sparco Asseto Gara. J8xR18 ET35. So I will use the same tires. Sparco wheels are 2.3 Kg lighter than my current Extreme replicas Wheel design and high ET gives a lot of clearance for brake calipers When I waited new alloys my new light two peace CEIKA brake rotors arrive. I expected them in 2 month time , but CEIKA was unbelievably quick. New disk are 345x30x50 and more than 2Kg lighter that solid 340x30x50. Fully assembled Brembo calipers with brakepads , brackets and bolts weight 5kg sharp. "Standard" calipers from 340mm Skoda Superb brakes weight 9.3Kg Here is few more pictures of CEIKA beauty. Hopefully next photos will be of Installed alloys - brakes. Rotors are directional with cooling- Karoq Performance Brakes
Did refresh of my rear brakes, as I relocate them from my previous skoda superb and brakepads effectively was used and 310mm brake disk I got was chepest one I could fine , as I was not sure if its fits to my Karoq. Now brand new , but the same EBC Red Stuff brake pads and EBC slotted 310x22x60 brake disk. Still waiting braided brakelines for rear.- Karoq Performance Brakes
Project ongoing. Got wrong brakelines, waiting replacement. Just for FYI , this brembo calipers do not take L shape brakelines, have to be standard with banjobolts. You can find bracket for 340mm disks as well. But I do not have proper source. Maybe if you call https://epytec.de they can make for you proper one. There is advantage of using 340mm over 345mm disks in weight. The same type disks , 340mm lighter for average 2kg. I personally purchased CEIKA two peaces brake disk 345x30 which weight around 8kg , but will be delivered in couple of month time.- 2.0 TDI - 150ps engine noise vs 190ps
Compression rate I saw different figures from different sources, but is the balancing shaft not going only on 240hp twin turbo engines ?- 2.0 TDI - 150ps engine noise vs 190ps
Somebody correcting me, that Turbocharger is different 04L253010B for 150HP and 04L253056(x) for 190HP- 2.0 TDI - 150ps engine noise vs 190ps
The last two 2L Diesel engines on Karoq are mechanically exactly identical ( I could not find any difference between DFFA and DFHA engines bar ECU). 150&190HP are different to 184 on VRS (engine codes CUPA/CUNA) Will be happy to know if I am wrong anywhere.- Custom Skoda steering wheel

Karoq can easily take 245/45/R19 on J8.5 wheels.- Sportline 2.0 TSI 4X4 DSG
Brembo is brembo , even when its ment o be installed on Renault Megane RS 275 ( quite quick and light track car ) But yes, I was surprised as well. But this calipers are reasonably priced and have decent stopping power, but for me the main thing is weight.- Karoq Performance Brakes

Here are two options: Genuine - https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Genuine-Renault-Sport-Megane-3-Front-Brake-Pad-Pin-Kit-Set-411203690R-Brembo/264499625428?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Aftermarket: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Renault-Megane-RS-250-265-275-Front-brake-pad-fitting-kit-pad-pin-kit-PFK1202Y/333162759488?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Also you will need ( not exactly but alluminium calipers will always be better with ) DOT5.1 brake fluid ( I purchased 2L) - https://www.ebay.ie/itm/High-Performance-Brembo-Fully-Synthetic-Brake-And-Clutch-Fluid-Dot-5-1-1L-1Litre/262703043311?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Do not forget brided brake lines ( otherwise everything what we are doing here is pointless ) as example - https://www.ebay.ie/itm/FULL-KIT-HEL-Brake-Lines-Hoses-For-Skoda-Karoq-All-Models-15-EBRAKE-Multi/202958499133?hash=item2f4144ed3d:g:Si8AAOSwy3BdhIcS Also when purchase lines , ask for 24mm 1.0 banjo bolts , like here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07TD6S2TQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you have extra double amount of icecream money , you can purchase 2 peace brake disk from - https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-brand/ecs-tuning/ecs-tuning-front-cross-drilled-slotted-2-piece-brake-discs/ I would not play much with fully floated, as calipers designed for 28mm disk , and 30 mm is already very tight. Before you purchase brackets , let me test setup. I am currently waiting delivery of brake fluid and pins/springs. Rear brakes is way easier. The only place where you need to be a bit creative are dustshields if you running like me front wheel drive car. Here are calipers ( brake lines attached are to short , and I am waiting for new one at the moment as currently stock one are connected) https://www.ebay.ie/itm/GENUINE-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPERS-310MM-VW-GOLF-Mk7-GTI-R-AUDI-A3-8V-S3-RS3-TTS-8S-NEW/303552076165?hash=item46ad1d1985:g:IQAAAOSw2H1d3~8v Brakepads are this one ( I think , but I am waiting replacement as well , so lets wait to confirm)- https://www.ebay.ie/itm/EBC-RedStuff-Rear-Pads-DP32173C-Golf-R-7-5-Audi-S3-8V-Leon-Red-Stuff/184375948982?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 The most interesting part of the setup is brake disk. Karoq with front wheel drive , do have solid 5x112 10mm depth , 272d ( as far as I remember) and 58.9mm height rear disks. 4x4 have 50mm heigh disk ( aprox). So issue was that 10mm in heigh needs to be compensated with some spacers for brake calipers, but that I found that AUDI TT 2008 , do have 22mm vented, 310mm diameter, and 58.3mm height disk which I installed bolt on in my setup Or this one from EBC - https://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/ebc-oereplacement-brake-disc-d1458_p4240606.htm Any questions - just ask- Karoq Performance Brakes
Time to change front brake disks and brake pads. I always had thoughts that my 340mm kit from 280hp Superb is a bit on heavy side. 340mm ATE vented disk Caliper with pads And I decided to assemble kit with better braking characteristics and lighter. So , I took Brembo calipers from Renault Megane 3 RS 275hp Brackets to fit 354mm disk My favourite brake pads + few grams for pins and springs. Brake disk temporary took EBC simple vented , as two peace cost to much for test. This EBC rotor weight 11.800kg Plan is to migrate to two peace rotor later on. ECB tuning 345x30 two peace rotor weight 8.500kg. Ideally some forged wheels later on as well. But will need to rob a bank first Brembo DOT5.1 purchased as well. This calipers better to run on 5.1. In theory everything have to be bolt on , but this is what I think might not be the case, have a filing that bolts a bit to long, but when I install my new brakes , will put here step by step guide for ANY MQB car- Sportline 2.0 TSI 4X4 DSG
How about BRAKES ? Look what I am preparing- Karoq Wheel Alignment
After springs change and wheel alignment car was always puling to the left on the left side of the road and to the right on the right side. Obviously slight incline on motorways not suppose to be the problem. But time after time after time this situation ****ed me off and I went to the garage to do proper Wheel Alignment. They did , and as usual everything become even worth 😞 Never had luck to get Wheel Alignment done from first attempt ever in my life. Always end up with some old grey-hair person scrapped all this ****ty laser stuff and did alignment old school way with threads and mirrors. However this time looks like I have to provide garage proper settings for alignment as they have only strange once from their software. Do anyone have a picture of properly done wheel alignment results ? Here is mine:- Carbon Steering Wheel
Weather is just a killer 😞 Some indoor parking lot , better private will be beneficial- Carbon Steering Wheel
Working on my car bit by bit. Got this beauty installed today Love it. Strait from carbon-fibre master from Mother Russia (I am not joking ) . Quality is just amazing! real carbon. #carbonfibre
