  1. Thanks Nigel. I have updated the vehicle info thanks to your instructions. I am contemplating accessing through the pollen filter aperture, though it looks a tad small to remove the contol unit... I'll post when I've done, if I actually pursue this. Cheers, Duncan
  2. Thanks Nigel. I appreciate your reply. It is a 1.4 TDi BNV manual hatch. I will update the details when I work out how... It has interior and exterior temp sensors, both of which appear to work, and a fault code of 01273 - Fresh Air Blower. It definitely makes a difference when I shove the connector to the controller/resistor unit, which I am sure is wired direct to the fan. So I am sure I need to get in there physically. Just wondered really what the procedure is for access to that fan area behind the dash because the less I HAVE to remove the better. Cheers, Duncan PS I am a mechanic but the ways round bits of plastic are not obvious even to us!
  3. Hello Fabia owners. I have a 2010 Fabia 2 with fully automatic Climatronic (if that's what it's called) aircon. The fan has developed a mind of it's own and generally doesn't work, whilst occasionally bursting into maximum. Can anybody tell me if there is a 'How to' on accessing the climatronic fan resistor/control unit ? It seems to be in the same place as the round resistor the replacement of which is well documented. However it is a very different unit and more of a 'control module' than a resistor I think. Prodding the connector to it does affect the operation of the fan so I'm sure the problem is here or the fan itself. The access appears impossible without the removal of the dashboard. The thought of which I find distressing to say the least. Just wondered if anyone had found an easier way into this area? Thanks in anticipation, Duncan
