The bottom picture is before they were lacquered. The definitely looked grey but the on on the car to me looks bluey/purpley. Maybe it's just me.

I'm in the process of diy refurbing my zenith alloys. I was really happy with the colour before I lacquered them now they appear to me to have a definite blue/purple tinge. I used grey primer, peugeot steel grey paint then clear lacquer. Maybe it's just me or it's picking up the light or the lacquer has brought out the fleck in the paint. What's your thoughts? I'm not convinced. I've only done 1 wheel so far.

What holds the window to the regulator?
PedroC replied to veevee's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
As Eddie NL said. Lower the regulator to the holes. There should be a double pin. White nylon type. One large and one small. The larger one goes through the plastic holder and through the glass and the smaller one is pressed into the larger one spreading it out to hold the larger one in place. Kind of the same setup as the link below. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5295044-MK4-Golf-Rear-Window-Repair-DIY -

anyone reccomend a low and lightweight jack?
PedroC replied to stu_mcl's topic in General Automotive Chat
How about this. We use a few of these in work. Can't really fault them for the price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-31481-Profile-Trolley-Capacity/dp/B00HNV3J02 -
They look good in the photo.

Got a bit impatient. Car is booked in at the end of this week for the alloys to be refurbed. Going to go for a gunmetal grey I think.
-
I haven't decided. I might go for a grey/anthracite colour but I do like the bright silver when they are clean. Front grill surround is black and with the rear tints I think a darker wheel would look good.

Hi. Future plans for my vrs. Thorough scrub definetely required. Bilstein b8 shocks and a set of eibach springs waiting to go on. Itching to get them fitted. Alloys getting refurbed towards the end of the month. Just need to source some new front top mounts and rear bump stops. And how it usually looks.
