  1. Gap from bottom of 591 to top of glass when open is half a tin of tomatoes : This is with - Thule Wingbars + Thule 591 pro bike carrier mounted in the centre of the roof. Join between roof rack and bike rack is with the bolts as mentioned above.
  2. Just been out - I have Thule WingBars, with a Superb II estate and the panoramic roof. With the bars on and the roof open there's a gap between the top of the glass and bottom of the bar of around 1.5 packs of polos (maybe 2). Roof opens initially at an angle so the clearance is much reduced at the join between the two panels - i.e. where the back edge of the moving roof panel arcs up. You can't/shouldn't fit a bar at this point anyway. As you're cyclists - I have a pair of Thule 591 bike racks, which I've yet to try, but think they'll be OK. Though they are not flat, eyeballing it suggests that they don't dip at the critical point. I am in Maidenhead if you want to come and try things out. Cheers, Jon
  3. If you can, I'd drill into both bits to put some metal splints in the next time you glue it. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  4. Are you holding the button down till it's finished shutting? On the pano sunroof I have to hold the button down till it's done.
  5. I have the Thule Whispbar and it's fine with the panoramic roof.
  6. I do recall seeing a setting about defaulting to BT so it might be worth having a hunt for it. Another thing it might be is whether you have software on the phone set to resume playback on BT connect? Just a thought. Jon
  7. Found the setting in Tone-Volume Settings-PDC volume control Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  8. I recall there being a setting on the Columbus. Is that box still ticked? Can't quite remember where it is, so if you can't find it, I'll pop out and have a look.
  9. When I've had tourist mode enabled it didn't give any messages as far as I recall. I think the option was in the Columbus system. I'll have a look when I'm next in the car. Jon
  10. Not had that, no. 2011 estate. The only time it's gone off was when I had the windows and roof open and someone walked past the car. Jon Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  11. It's worth noting that you can download the latest maps from the navteq website without going through your dealer or paying a penny. Download is 17gb though, so you'll need a similarly hefty sd card to copy it over. Jon Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  12. iPhone 5 works fine in both the carkit modes. My htc one x works ok in the less integrated mode (can't remember what it's called but it's the one that doesn't use rsap). Both will stream music over a2dp. I have a 2011 superb with the Columbus nav. Jon Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  13. Pretty disappointing visit today. Booked a test drive of a Superb but they didn't check which transmission I wanted and they only had automatics. Sales guy we had an appointment with was messing about moving cars and still hadn't turned up when we left 15 minutes into the appointment slot. Wanted to buy local, had the cash in the bank, drove to Oxford and bought a car. Jon
