  3. I'm looking to get a mufflerectomy done on my vrs. Any one recommend any where in swindon that will do one? Went to bells and they quoted me £150 which I though was a bit steep as they quoted me 80 previously.
  4. Thanks for all ur help guys, I'm going to be looking at hybrid and fmic. I'm guessing at that point I'd be restricted by the mufflerectomy?
  5. As per the title guys, should I go all out and buy a cat back system or just go for a mufflerectomy saving 100s. Is there any gains over havingt he mid pipe as brand? I'm going to be going all out on the car with hybrid decat and fmic will I be held back by having a mufflerectomy over an after markt sports exhaust? Cheers
  6. There was a small split in the pipe going to the heater matrix. Replaced the pipes all good now, 182 quid gone though.
  7. Have u still got this exhaust. If so have u got any pics?
  8. It's booked in the garage for tomorrow to replace any way now he said in the mean time I can just top it up with tap water. Is this Bad?
  9. Does it need to be bled in anyway after I have topped it up? Where can I get the o rings from?
  10. How difficult are these pipes to the heater matrix to remove do I have to drain the coolant system completely?
  11. After taking it to the garage I've been advised that its the pipes leading to the heater matrix. Could just be the o rings that have gone?
  12. Hello, noticed that I'm loosing coolant at a ridiculous rate half a litre a day. I can see where it's coming from. Hope u guys could shed some light on what it is U can see at the back where the metal pipe links into some corrugated hose with a smaller pipe coming off. It's leaking from there.
  13. My wife has said that she has seen coolant dripping off when she drove away the other day. Il get it checked out tomorrow. I had a new radiator earlier this year so couldn't be that I hope
  14. Thanks guys. Think il tune now. Well, when I get the fact that my coolant is dissappearing somewhere sorted.
  15. Thanks guys. Is it worth tuning an engine with 120k on it though?
  16. So I have a 2004 fabia vrs which I've owned for 2 years now. Egr blanked and a supposed remap by previous owners. It's pretty tatty and my wife uses it for the family. but basically I'm going to be selling my mx5 as can't be trusted with a RWD and was thinking of buying my wife a car with the money from the mx5 and modding the fabia. It's on 120k what are people opinions on whether I should go down the route or is it too far into his life. I'm thinking fmic hybrid ect? Thanks James
  17. Might be interested in this. The interior good? Major servicing up to date cambelt etc? Any mods and any problems? Thanks James
  18. So thinking of making my own mufflerectomy. Just wondered if people would be able to confirm what I'm doing is right? So I'm gunna but some 2.25" pipe just 1meter. So the outside diameter is 57mm Going to get a tip and the inside diameter is 59mm So there will be 2mm of play in the connection. Will that make a difference when welded? Finally when connecting the new pipe to the existing is 2.25" the correct size? Thanks in advance James
  19. Think ur having a different problem. All of my buttons work fine except the unlock button. For what u have wrote none of ur buttons were working at all?
  20. The other buttons still work. Would the unlock button stop but the rest carry on if the battery was low?
  21. Don't really want to start stripping the only remote I have apart in case I do something drastic and can't drive the car any more lol.
