  1. Just mended mine using this guide. Thanks for taking time to write it up.
  2. I had mine removed on my 140 superb. It was 60% blocked and was only going to get worse. I'm glad it's off now but notice the diesel fumes all the time now. I'd forgot I had a diesel when I drove it with dpf on.
  3. Yes, I'm glad I had it removed even though that didn't turn out to be the real cause. I don't have to drive it down the motorway for no reason like the vauxhall and Nissan dealers have told two blokes at work to do with their diesels. Only notice it when I reverse through my exhaust fumes when parking. Fingers crossed for the mot emissions test in eleven months.
  4. Maybe. I realise it could have been a number of things, but if someone had told me that the car kept going to limp home mode because it needed a new rocker then I wouldn't have believed em.
  5. Hi, just a quick bit of info on my lack of power issue. The only code it threw up was the pressure differential sensor on the dpf. Had that removed as it seemed a probable cause only to have the same fault. Had the car read again with a low boost pressure code. This eventually turned out to be a split diaphragm on a vacuum hose to the rocker cover. One new rocker cover later and all is well again. Hope this may help someone in the future.
  6. I might be getting somewhere. The garage have diagnosed it while cold and found a split diaphragm on some vacuum pipe that goes into the rocker. (Or summat, I know it's a bit vague). He said when he blocked it off some needle moved for the turbo, apparently I've never had full boost. Looks like I'll be chucking another two hundred at it.
  7. I found that mine disappeared after the wife had used it and connected her phone.
  8. Thanks for looking at this for me. I tried the unplugging trick this morning after nights and it didn't work like it did last time. The garage have offered to diagnose it for free for me. He reckons it shouldn't be anything major. I'm hoping it's something they've done with the remap and will just mend it and cover their tracks. I'll update this on Tuesday after it's been in. It might help someone else in the future.
  9. I tried to get to work today and it went into limp mode four times. I pulled over and unplugged the MAF sensor and the car ran fine, although I had a couple of engine warning lights. Does that mean that it's just a faulty MAF?
  10. Is that the pressure differential sensor either side of the dpf? If so, that was throwing up a code that the dpf was blocked. It was at my request to take off the dpf rather than regen it as the type if driving I do would result in the dpf keep getting blocked in future. It's the pressure regulator sensor that's showing now though ( coincidence?). It's back in on Monday to test it when it's cold. I'll let you know what's wrong in case anyone ever has the same fault.
  11. I can't hear any leaks when I'm driving. The garage had it plugged in when it was warm and took if round the block. He said it was making 1.6bar. Don't understand why it's perfect after it's been driven for a few minutes.
  12. Not sure. It only has the fault on initial startup. I took it out today with the same problem, but after 1.5 miles down the road it was perfect again. I don't know much about cars, but to me it seems like some sort of temperature sensor. The garage want me to leave it overnight so they can test it when it's cold. Stupid cars!
  13. It was Bolton injection centre. They came highly recommended from my mechanic who has sent a lot of cars their way.
  14. Hi all. I've been having trouble with my superb II 140. There's no power when the engine is cold. I had the codes read and it came back as a pressure differential sensor for the dpf. I bit the bullet and had it removed rather than regenerated and had a bit if a cheeky remap while it was in. Since getting it back after having my wallet emptied the exact same problem persists. There's no power when the engine is first started, if I tickle it for a mile or so the power comes back. If I have to drive up a hill and put the engine under any load I get a check engine warning on my dash and she goes into limp home mode. I've had it back to the garage and had it read again and it's now a boost pressure regulation control range not reached (intermittent) P0299 code. They suggested a new MAF which hasn't worked. Just seeing if anyone had had any similar faults and could point me in the right direction. Thanks for reading, Dan
  15. I've found that mine struggles if it's been raining and there's water on top of the boot.
