I have a 64GB SD card, it's full to the brim and it's brilliant!

I have a 1.4tsi with 17 inch wheels and I hear bugger all when I'm driving, it's as quiet as a mouse

I don't see the point of the VRS, maybe I am stupid but I think the 1.4 TSI is quick enough

I have the 1.4 TSI engine and it is fantastic, it flies up hills doing 60 in 6th gear with no issues what so ever, it drives as if it's on a flat road. It goes very very fast and yeah, if you get the 1.4 you will not be disappointed!

The piano black comes as standard with the Columbus sat nav

I prefer the standard Mk 3 one to the VRS one by the looks of it. The Octavia looks fantastic at night and it feels different too, maybe it's just me getting lost in the ambiance but she's a beaut to drive after dark!

People I have 2 questions that I would like help with please. Question the first, can you catch the voice on the columbus, I'm not saying I dislike the lady but to be honest she's a bit serious and I would rather have an Irishman (I love the Irish accent, it's soothing). Number 2: The automatic wiper function doesn't seem to be working, I've set it up in the settings and the lights are set to automatic but the automatic wiper function doesn't appear to be working! My apologies, I can't believe I forgot to mention what car I got ha ha, it a 1.4 TSI Elegance Hatch in Race blue, I must say this is the first time I've fallen in love with the car, I keep wanting to look at it ha ha I just went for the standard speakers in the end, I was tempted by the Canton but the speakers in the Octavia are so good I'm happy I saved my money, I've changed the bass and treble settings so it sounds even better!

I drove it from the dealer to Portsmouth and got in the longest traffic jam ever, about an hour and a half getting in Gunwharf then about 2 or 3 hours getting out! But, in that time I have decided the following: it's really fricking comfy, it smells bloody brilliant, it's quick, it's so easy to use, the columbus is worth every penny, the bluetooth is great, the speakers are great, the stop/start system was brilliant, it looks amazing, handles really really well, is comfy, so much room, everyone thus far loves the colour and the girlfriend loves it (I'm worried she may steal it from me). For me, the Octavia was worth the wait and worth every penny it is fantastic, I drove it home tonight and it looks great at night, I had a lovely easy drive from the girlfriends house and it was something else I am really really impressed. This is my 4th car and my 2 cars before my Fabia were old bangers so if you think I am being over enthusiastic of the car or it's not as good as..... I don't care, I love it and I wouldn't change it for any other car!

Are you sure you're looking at an Octavia!?

I had no problem with the handbrake being on the wrong side when I test drove it aside from having to move the armrest to it's intended position. Once I take delivery of the car on Saturday and drive it full time I should imagine I'll get used to it and prefer it, but on the test drive it made no odds to me.

I love Skoda, wish their dealers had the same passion, I will always choose a Skoda regardless of the poor service, guess it's the price you pay ha ha

You could have a crap dealer like mine where he doesn't phone you to say when it's being built then doesn't say it's on it's way and when it get's delivered he also doesn't phone you. Thankfully I am picking it up Saturday though I had to phone him to find that out, though he was meant to phone me back today to say what time Saturday but didn't so I'm just going to turn up Saturday when I feel like it to pick it up, I could care less if he isn't prepared my car my money and then I will probably complain to SUK for the awful service.

Good idea! I had a problem with them when I took my car to be serviced, they didn't say they did courtesy cars and I didn't think to ask so I was waiting in town for hours, I then phoned them to see how it was going and they had finished, It'd been sitting there and they hadn't phoned me to say! The only reasons I got my Octavia for them is because I really want the Octavia and they're the closest dealership, I am sad about the poor service!

Same, I think I will use a different dealer from now on, it's not hard to phone someone who has just spent £20k on something to keep him/her happy, it's crazy! Sorry to hear you're having the same experience dellfan, I'm half tempted to complain!

Bit annoyed at my dealer, car is on transporter headed for the dealership, shouldn't they have phoned me to say? I only found out because I gave Skoda UK a call as my dealer never seems to answer
