  1. I have a 1.6 petrol, 6 speed auto with Tiptronic. I average more than 600 klm on 50 litres 'town driving' - speeds up to 80kph. I get about 750 klm for 50 litres on the highway at 100 to 110 kph. I was totally surprised how well it goes on the highway. Takes the hills with ease. Bought it for my wife but she doesn't like it - says she can't see out the driver's side window - so I drive it and she drives 'my' car.
  2. I've got 40,000k on my 2010 Roomster. It handles well for the type of vehicle that it is - its not a sports car. The breaks are good - no problems even when driven hard. Performance for a 1.6 petrol engine is good - goes as good as any non-turbo 1.6 petrol). Fuel consumption is great on the highway and reasonable around town (over 600k on a tank around town). I wonder who they surveyed???
  3. Thanks for the responses. One each way Price isn't all that important. Just looking for other peoples opinions and experiences. Have read some disparaging reports about the built-in models. Wife's car (a Renault) has a built-in satnav at eye level. She likes it that way. The Roomster has a mic slot in the overhead light fitting. Is that pre-wired for phone? Also noticed there is a 'fitting' on top of the dash above the instuments in front of the driver. I'm wondering if that is for a GPS receiver/antenna?
  4. I have a J572KC. I want to give it a satnav but don't know whether to go with a TomTom/Garmin type or replace the existing radio/cd player with a 'built-in' model like Columbus or similar. Any suggestions most welcome.
