For all the tech guys.i have a 2009 skoda fabia greenline.i didnt like the standard stereo so replaced it with a newer swing model from an elegance..i have two problems with it. Firstly it wont turn off with the ignition which i presume is to do with thw can bus system. Secondly the radio sometimes turns itself off but will turn straight on again. I thought both being skoda stereos it would be a case of plug and play

Hi guys ive replaced the original stereo in my 09 fabia greenline with the newer skoda swing stereo. All fitted fine but have two problems. Firstly the stereo seems to randomly turn itself off for no reason but you can turn it back on strate away.?? Secondly the stereo does not turn itself off with the ignition due i think to the new can bus system any ideas on a fix???

I have a 2009 fabis greenline that has parking sensors but the car was used as a learner car and a skoda garage deactivated them.any1 know how yhey did it and how to reverse it.ive checked for missing fuses but no joy

Hi there i have a standard 2009 fabia geeenline and wanted to upgrade the stereo so got hold of a swing stereo found in newer skodas.all works fine in it apart from the stereo does not turn off when ignition is off.tried doing old trick of swopping live feed and ignition feed but there stereo only seems to have a constant live feef. Looked around and some people hsve said its controlled by the can bus ??? Any ideas

I looked at the wires last nite and i dont think the old school way will work as there are two live wires going to the stereo and no ignition feed.hav look on the internet and found a few thinks saying the can bus control the stereo??any ideas
