  1. Well after having it so far I can say I am very pleased! Cracking little car, pulls really well from low down in every gear and keeps on pulling! Averaging around late 30's at the minute which is pretty decent for a brand new car of this type. Very impressed with the LED lights. I didn't find a need for high beam at all on a completely un lot road. The driving position is also very comfortable and the ride also isn't overly harsh at all (I spec' the sports pack). Only thing I could pick out which is a very small thing is the light switch illuminations reflect off the window into the drivers side mirror but like I say, very nit picky. The flash red is lovely!
  2. I definitely will mate along with lots of pictures! I went with the Flash Red simply because I think it matches it so well with all the red GTI styling, that and I really didn't want another black car! Everything I've read so far is positive. UK POLOS have a 100 page+ thread of owners which is worth a read!
  3. Taking delivery of my Polo GTI on the 19th October, 3 weeks earlier than expected! I'll Make sure I post some feedback once I've had enough time to have a play!
  4. Tyres are 205/40/17 but are provisionally sold pending payment and collection. I'm in Cumbernauld mate.
  5. Get where you are coming from, not sure if you're trying to discredit the 6.1 Top Gear tested the manual to or not? Or if you're saying the DSG can do that as well? I just haven't seen a test done that stated it got 6.1.
  6. As far as I'm led to believe the torque figures for the DSG's are limited to save the gearbox compared to the manual versions and that's why they can get to 62 a bit quicker than the DSG's which have been tested at 6.7s the stated time from VW.
  7. I went for the standard jacara cloth as I preferred the look of it and wasn't particularly impressed by the alcantara option. Again kept he Parabolica wheels as prefer these to the other option, can't quite remember the name of them right enough. My order is through a leasing company that my work go through so I don't actually ever receive any information from Volkswagen, just monthly updates on it my order is still on track, which it is. 29th October build date. Top Gear recently took it to a track somewhere in England in their most recent issue and the manual manager a 6.1 0-62, fending off some much more expensive and powerful cars, even beating the time of the Golf GTI! I'll be sure to post my thoughts once it's arrived.
  8. I ordered one of these back in June for my company car, due for delivery around the start of November. Appealed more to me than the fiesta since it'll be a bit more comfortable for the longer journeys if needs be and the cabin looks like a much nicer place to sit. Quite looking forward to it arriving! 3dr Manual, flash red, Discover Nav, Electric climate control, sport pack, convenience pack, parking pack, and some other bits. Pretty well specced. Got just about everything other than the pano roof and app connect.
  9. Selling these as I no longer have the car. Tyres are near new probably done around 6-7k miles and the spare is brand new. Collection only from Glasgow Scotland as nobody is in the house during the day to arrange for pick up from a courier. Sorry!! Here are some pictures. Couple of stone chips but no kerbing. The chips can be touched up fairly easily. Pictures of tread left are one from the back and one from the front. Price - £350 ONO.
  10. Mk1 Skoda Fabia vRS for sale, around 63000 miles with a full service history and MOT until October time and 2 previous owners including myself. I am receiving a company car so this is forcing sale. Had the car for 2 and a half years now and has been looked after and serviced faithfully with the most recent job being reconditioning the turbo and oil feed/return pipes totalling £800. Car is in very good condition for its age inside and out, has the expected stone chips for the amount of miles and age of the car. Comes with full leather vRS embroidered interior that is in near perfect condition with the only seat regularly sat in being the drivers, rear tints and body coloured door mirrors and handles as standard from the factory, has never been smoked in. Car has upgraded front 312mm brakes Lowered by 25mm on AP shocks and springs LCR Front splitter 17" Octavia Spider alloys x5 with almost brand new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres. Pioneer FH-X700BT headunit with Bluetooth, aux, and Usb inputs, microphone installed so you can answer calls handsfree. All standard parts will be included in the sale of the car including standard 16" wheels and tyres + spare Standard suspension and brakes only covered 40k miles. Car currently has finance on it but this will be paid off fully once payment has been made. Price - 4250 OVNO
  11. I've just completed an order for a Polo GTI with everything apart from the app connect thing, pretty pleased at the price of it compared to the cars I was looking at considering how much car you get. Really looking forward to it arriving now [emoji16]
  12. Started looking at the Polo GTI's today as well. Another contender to add in. Good standard spec and adding sat nav, cruise and parking sensors only bring it up to 20k
  13. I still need to have a test drive of both cars. I can get extended test drives as well through the lease scheme before confirming anything so will make use of that before making a decision. Once I think I've definitely made a decision I always get drawn towards the Fiesta for some reason.
  14. Don't really need a car that big if I'm honest but they are well priced. Will only be myself in the car 90% of the time.
  15. As far as I'm aware there is a limit of around 28-30k list but I'm not 100% sure and it has to have lest than 160 CO2/kg or around that. I'd be looking at something max about 23/4k but want a high spec.
  16. So, I've got a new job and it comes with a car of my choice. Been looking at 2 in particular and would just like people's opinions! I want a petrol, that's relatively quick but also returns decent mpg when you're just cruising, ideally upwards of 45mpg at least. I've been umming and arring over getting a Fiesta ST-3, cheap and very cheerful and the BIK tax isn't too much due to low list price. The other choice being the new 1.4 TFSI CoD 150 Audi A1 S line, I'd probably kit this out the the same spec as the fiesta ST-3 and pay a bit extra a month for the cost but save a bit in BIK because of the low emissions. At the moment I'm edging towards the Audi but as I said, open to suggestions and opinions! Cheers
  17. Thanks! I'll probably end up listing it somewhere in between looking for about £4,500. Only problem for anyone looking for it on here is I'm in Glasgow!
  18. This is not a for sale thread just to confirm, and I will renew my freedom membership when I do decide to sell. So, I've got a new job and it comes with a company car so naturally, just looking to see how much you knowledgeable people think mine is worth at the moment. 56 Plate black magic Fabia vRS, probably going to be about 60k when it comes time to sell. Full service history every 10k miles roughly including cambelt + water pump. Came with factory leathers, rear tints and body coloured door handles. All the seats are in amazing condition and the drivers seat is the only one that even looks like it's been sat on for any length of time. I like to look after the body work so it is washed and waxed religiously although there are the expected stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper. I've currently got a set of Light anthracite spiders on with brand new RS3 tyres. This is a set of 5. Lowered on AP S&S and 312mm front brakes. And a Double din head unit which I can't quite remember the exact name of but it's got Bluetooth, aux and usb inputs. And it's got lots of colour choices available. I have kept all the standard parts including wheels as I know it sells for more as standard sometimes and these can be had by the buyer also. Any comments welcome!
  19. Why do you say that Chris? I've applied Hybrid 86 before without the BSD and it seems to have beaded just as well. Just curious!
  20. After a full strip down, polish with Gtechnich P1 and Da-21. Topped with a single coat of Hybrid 86 from Obsession wax and BSD.
