Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply fella. I guess thats an option if i am going to lose the display then i may as well go aftermarket. Anyone on here fitted an RNS310 or similar oem and have parking sensors to confirm?
-
Hi guys I'd like to ask anyone who has changed their headunit and has the rear parking sensors if they have used a unit which still shows the parking sensor display. Ideally I'd like to keep this feature along with the beeps. I'm currently looking at a used RNS310 OR 315 and currently have the dance headunit. I'd like to have a unit with bluetooth and one I can add the rear camera to. I'd appreciate any help. Kind regards

Steering wheel judder - and other issues!
Kammy replied to rckd's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi. I'm not an expert and definitely not a mechanic so please only take what I say as my own experience. I've had a few modded cars and provided the mods have been done correctly then there are no issues in terms of handling. In effect such mods should make the car more stable as opposed to less. You mentioned the car pulls in both directions and has had the suspension modded. I would get the set up checked out by a decent garage. One that can do tracking will be able to sort out the toe and camber angles as necessary and tracking is what I've usually had done when my cars have pulled one way or the other. Admittedly I've never had one that has pulled in both directions. I would assume that the tyres are not set correctly and this is the reason for pulling and any judders. Hope this helps. Kam -
Anyone got a fabia sport 105 1.9 tdi?
Kammy replied to Phil2013's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
The only downside is its only 5 speed. 6 could have made cruising on motorways better but then depends on what you want to use it for. seats are brill atleast for me and no dpf issues. -

putting spare in new car, inflation kit in old one?
Kammy replied to bert1973's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
It would depend on whether or not they have checked to confirm the old car has the spare when they valued it for trade in. If they do and it's missing they may adjust their valuation to suit. If they didn't bother to check then what difference will it make? Surely it will be up to the new customer to check and request a spare if they want one. -
Ive never had this on any of my other cars ever. Even after washing the car on the drive and leaving it there. Not happened to the fabia as yet either.

Checked the back of the unit again and realised the connector for the stereo was obviously missing the connector for the aux. I checked one of the other connectors and saw that it had the aux connection block so I have swapped it from there to the connector I need for the dance unit and hey presto it now works. I got sound from the aux input.
-
Looking forward to the update. In the meantime I've tried the aux input and am getting nothing. Anybody had this issue before or know of any solutions. Thanks

Thanks Guys - checked today and I do have the Dance headunit and no MDI slot. The above is a good idea and cheap fix. Will need to check it out to ensure it can stay powered. I have checked the back of the headunit and seen so connectors with nothing connected so I thought maybe that was where the MDI cable connected to as a retro fit. I take it this is not possible on this headunit. Just would have been nice to have had the controls on the headunit. Kammy

Thanks pal. The cars currently in the bookshop but should get it tomorrow so I'll check then. Where abouts should the mdi socket be under the glovebox so I know where I'm looking. Thabks

Hi guys/gals. I asked in another post but didn't get a reply so thought I'd ask in its own post. Basically I'd like to know if I can connect an mdi or USB cable which would allow me to connect my iPhone to the headunit I have which is the dance one. Also if I can would it allow me to change tracks from the headunit? I have a headphone type aux in port near the handbrake but would like to know if the other option is possible. If it is if anybody could post which lead I would need would be great. Thanks Kammy
