If you're spending £30k on a yeti, surely you'd consider the Tiguan? Day

1.8T Fabia (built by Unit 18)
Day-VRS replied to XLBaconDoubleCheese's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It would be nice if there was a conversion package available so people can do the conversion at home. Now its been done and you know whats involved, why not develop it into a product so to speak? Day -
Itching powder lol. Day

Obviously, but for those that arent incapable of doing the work or fancy a built not bought approach, little details are always helpful! Its hardly taking any business away from them is it? Because at the end of the day the people who are willing to pay for the conversion are still going to pay for it! I can appreciate its alot of work upto OEM standard, but its nice to have a little insight as to what work goes into a project like that to make it work. Day -

Of course its about fun. Why the hell would you have the conversion in the first place? As stated, not everyone is capable or bothered about doing the conversion themselves. Oh, and tone it down, TOOL! Day -

Where's the fun in that? You're not losing out on those who'd prefer you to do the work. Just makes life easier for those who wish to take on such a project themselves. Day -
They got what they deserved. If it was me i'd have mowed down any that were in my way. They were wrong in what they were doing, especially when there was the mans wife and child on board. Day

You're supposed to use a specific puller kit as it locates on the inner race and not the outer. The link below is the correct way to do it, as stated above, just using a normal press is likely to damage the bearing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M69uwMLib80 Day

Alot of the cars limited by the gentlemans agreement usually came out with more power than officially stated lol. Seen plenty of imprezas/evos/skylines running way over in completely stock form. Day

Bang it on ebay, mine went for £350. Day

I'd be tempted by a 1.8 TSI Yeti. But cant justify spending silly money on a car with how often I change. Day

Very reasonable price! GLWS DAy

I paid £38 each for the bearing/hub. Both FAG too. Day

With the E12 Corolla you have a similar issue. A new yaw rate sensor needs to be fitted and calibrated. Could possibly along the same lines. Day

Could you get closer pics of any damage please? Any kerbing? Thanks Day

Very corrosive, will increase wear 5x the rate of normal diesel. Great as a degreaser though. Day

I think with the older direct injection diesels it was fine to use, but with the newer Common Rail engines it supposedly causes alot of problems. I used it in my MG ZR TD and it made so much dfference. Never used it in the Fabia though lol. Day -
Similar thing happened to a friend, he had a brand new Astra VXR when they were first released. On the 3rd day his missus took it to work and caught a small wooden post, and then continued driving putting a rather heaving crease in the wing, door, rear quarter and bent most of the sill too. Needless to say it was an instant write off lol. Apparently she's still making it upto him to this day haha Day

A smart repair company should be able to sort that out Day
