I ordered a 170ps L&K in June. My local dealer matched the discount offered by drivethedeal. I was going to get the normal finance for the free servicing and immediately pay it off. But then the car arrived in early July and Skoda began to offer 0% financing and free servicing. The dealer let me switch to this with no further fuss.

We just wanted to go driving & give you a chance to get home We did consider the Kuga but felt the Yeti was better value-for-money.

Got my Yeti 170 L&K this evening at 6PM. And we just got in 5 hrs later on an extended drive :-) The whole family loves it. Even though we have owned "top-end" brands such as BMWs and Mercs, our initial impressions of the Yeti L&K is that it's gone straight to No.1 in our Car Hall of Fame. I feel like a kid with a new toy. The drive and handling is great. The manual gearbox is sharp and sweet and the engine provides lots of pulling power - yes I am being very careful not to rev it ;-) Yet the car is so quiet that not only did I stall it (as I forgot to change gears) but so did my wife and brother-in-law when they had a go!! However, the stand-out features for me are the panoramic sunroof and the cornering headlights. My In-Laws are now rapidly reconsidering their decision to buy a Ford Kuga - hehe! I think there's a nice ritual on these forums to name your Yeti so I have decided to call it Godot - which is a bit funny in that from the moment I placed the order, I had the car-keys in 24 days. Hope I'm not breaking any Forum Rules, but a big thanks to Lee of Preston Motors.

I pick up my Yeti tomorrow! YES!

I phoned the dealer today. He said my car has arrived in the UK! I will be very pleased if I get the car by next week

I entirely agree. We tried a few cross-overs/SUVs but settled on ordering the current Yeti L&K because it was discounted (for June), lots of kit & vastly better then our outgoing Fabia.

Hehe - you don't really want to drive a Nissan Joke, do you? Actually, I've changed my mind. Instead of a decal bearing the name "Lucky", I think I'll have the name "Godot" instead.

I feel like an expectant father gazing at the sky hoping to see a massive stork delivering a sizeable package.

It does sound crass but each to their own. I meant "Lucky" as a subtle reminder to myself of how long I have to wait for my car...
-
Hi MarieK, how about custom decals with pet names people may have for their Yeti? For my anticipated steel-grey Yeti I wouldn't mind getting a decal bearing the name "Lucky". nrgb.

Thanks. After a lengthy period of evaluation with other cars, it was clear the Yeti was the 'value-for-money' car for my family.

15% discounts on a new Yeti from online dealers - any experiences?
nrgb replied to docc's topic in Skoda Yeti
Hi. I ordered from my Skoda dealer a fortnight ago as they matched an offer from DriveTheDeal: - Yeti L&K 170 with Steel-Grey Metallic Paint: £26,480 - Discount : £3,185 i.e. 12% - Order Price: £23,295 I'll also take the minimum financing (50%) to get 3 years free servicing but then pay-off the loan asap as the service offer will remain. Dealer told me the service is worth ~£500 over the period but incurs a £60 set-up fee, hence Financing is worth ~£460 (excluding interest charges). This increases the total discount to £3625 which is 13.7% Hope my Maths is correct! -
Hello, My first post! Currently, I drive a 2008 Fabia 1.9 TDI estate bought from new which has done 80k. The Fabia is showing its age so I'll be partex'ing it for a new dark-grey Yeti L&K 170 manual. Apparently the Yeti is built and ready to be shipped to UK. Though I've ordered new cars before, I've never quite got used to the waiting nrgb.
