Thanks, will have to get it on the RR and see what it's putting out. It's the only vRS I've driven so not sure if it's been remapped already. It definitely spins in 3rd when the roads even slightly wet, wish they'd made a 4x4 version!

Hi, I'm wondering what options are available for getting more power and faster 0-60 times with a 56 plate vRS 2.0 TFSi? After owning 22 different cars (non Skoda) over the last 10 years I think I've finally found one I can't face selling! I was told by the seller at HA Fox Jaguar that he thought it had had a remap as it seemed faster than others he'd driven (this was after I'd bought it, it wasn't part of his sales pitch). Can I check this without a dyno? i.e. does anyone know what the 0-60 should be with a remap? Cheers Paul

Can anyone shed any light on whether it needs doing? If it doesn't need it I definitely won't right now, pretty tight for cash!

The cambelt hasn't been changed in 5 years, I was under the impression that regardless of mileage it should be done after 4 years so I thought it was well overdue. Not sure where I got that info from though. My concern is that I could be looking at a bill in excess of £500. How would I check whether the belt needs changing?

Hi, My 56 vRS TFSi needs a full service, cambelt etc. I've called some garages and am waiting for quotes back but all are taking too long, in the mean time can anyone tell me what sort of price to expect for this job? It's on 73k, so it's a big service. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable to be honest and not looking forward to how much it might be! Thanks

Any ideas where my car is taking on water from? I saw the the thread explaining that potential places it can come from are the drain plugs under the battery and around the pollen filter housing. I have checked these but the water seems to come in on the drivers side. I have removed and cleaned the drain plugs under the battery etc and I doubt its the pollen filter area as that's on the passenger side and the car is always parked on a hill with the drivers side higher.

Anyone know what the part and labour costs of replacing the balancer unit is? Ball park figure would do

I've been reading up on the very well documented oil pump failure problem of the 2.0 PD engines, what I cannot seem to find however, is a guide price on replacing the potentially faulty part to avoid it happening before it does. Any ideas? Has anyone done this? All I can find is prices people have paid once the damage is done

Hi, I know this topic has been discussed a few years ago, although after reading through 3 pages it seems that a lot of the information is unconfirmed and links to items for sale have expired. Can anybody tell me for sure if you can plug a 10 pin plug into the auxiliary socket and run straight to a pair of RCA outputs.
