  1. Thanks for that. I ended going to Revo for a remap as you'll probably be aware they're vag approved agents. Got a remap done for £399 (£100 off apparently). The car is up to a moderate 208 bhp now. Drives very nicely, not a pig to drive with the extra torque at all so shows its been done properly. Very quick from stand still now, infact I can only get the best of the pullaway using the dsg in manual mode, otherwise the car losses too much traction in full auto (traction control lights up like a Christmas tree, particularly in the wet!) Cheers, Guy
  2. I'm toying with the idea of uprating the already pretty good 170 horses under the hood. Can anyone say whether this is worth doing? I'd be interested in hearing from those who have already had a chip upgrade done and if it is worth it, is there anywhere that can be recommended in the High Wycombe area to do a really good, warranted, professional and trustworthy job? or indeed if there are other ways easy and fairly cheap ways of increasing the power, by way of air filters, etc I've heard they can easily go up to a good 210 HP after tune without any problems?
  3. So, the car is booked in with my local Skoda dealer for this Tuesday. It's now done 58k miles, having Interim service and cambelt change. I've also gone for the option of having the water pump changed - having been advised by the service agent. Not sure if that's a bit of an old con really but at least they only charge for the unit and not the labour! As far as I'm aware the car is sweet as a nut so it'll be interesting to see if any other faults are found requiring, er.. extra work? I'm hoping that the already quoted price of £568 for the service, cambelt and waterpump replacement will stay at just that and no more! I shall keep all posted on that
  4. Hi, Re: Fabia 2004 1.4 16v 100 hp anyone out there to help? I have a eml light on, having had the diognostics done, it states number 2 02 sensor has a fault. I've purchased a new 02 sensor from a local motor factors supplier, its a good make, NTK. They informed me that the sensor will be located around the area of the CAT. Can anyone please tell me exactly where it is, whether its easy to access and also if any parts need to be removed to get to it? Estimated time to change would also be helpful. Barring in mind I'm not a pro technician and never changed a 02 sensor before! :-o Any advice would be much appreciated Guy
